About You:

We are seeking a curious and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our growing Data Operations team. Reporting to the Data Operations Lead, you will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Based in either our Munich or Budapest office, you will work closely with the Data Operations Lead and Engineers to support data quality initiatives, develop reports and dashboards, and help stakeholders understand and utilize data effectively. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a foundational data team in a dynamic SaaS environment.

What skills do I need?

  • Experience: 1-3+ years of relevant experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or related role. Experience in a SaaS environment is a plus.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong SQL skills for querying complex datasets and performing data manipulation.
  • BI Tool Experience: Hands-on experience with BI and data visualization tools (experience with Sigma Computing is a definite plus ).
  • Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain data concepts to various audiences and work effectively in an international setting.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
  • Familiarity with Data Concepts: Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data quality principles is beneficial.
  • Language: Fluency in English 

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with Python for data analysis or scripting.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS.
  • Exposure to data governance concepts or tools (like Datahub).
  • Experience working with dbt or similar data transformation tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Query and analyze data from various sources using SQL to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards using our BI platform (Sigma Computing) to visualize data and track key metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Product) to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
  • Assist in monitoring data quality, identifying anomalies, and contributing to data cleansing efforts.
  • Support the Data Operations team in documenting data definitions, metrics, and processes.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of 'data products' accessible through our data discovery platform.
  • Present findings and insights to technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
