Data Applications Manager 

As theData Applications Manager at HelloFresh, you will play a pivotal role in the company's growth by leading the development and support of business applications and advising the overall strategy of data initiatives for the safety, asset protection and corporate security, and maintenance and reliability engineering teams. Collaborating closely with these cross-functional teams, you will build and maintain low-code applications and dashboards to empower various departments with effective data-driven tools, including our CMMS and risk management systems, contributing to the overall success of strategic data initiatives.

You will...

  • Follow, maintain, and uphold compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and security standards.
  • Lead requirement gathering meetings with stakeholders from Technical Operations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs and objectives.
  • Take ownership of building, maintaining, and deploying QuickBase applications, including documentation, employing your expertise to create efficient and user-friendly solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Provide essential support for ongoing data projects, leveraging QuickBase and external APIs to contribute to the success of various data initiatives within the organization.
  • Build insightful dashboards and reports, aligning with stakeholders on KPIs that translate complex datasets into clear and actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Maintain relationships with software vendors and industry leaders, staying abreast of industry best practices, managing new feature rollout and system changes, and optimizing existing data applications.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, promoting the adoption and effective utilization of QuickBase applications to empower various departments and contribute to the overall success of data-driven strategies.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes, with the potential for domestic and international travel.

You have...

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree or higher in Business Management and Administration, Data Science, or Computer Information Science preferred.
  • 4+ years professional experience developing applications in QuickBase or other low-code, cloud database environments.
  • Experience working with various cloud database platforms, showcasing an understanding of cloud-based data management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL in previous work experience, illustrating a strong understanding of querying, manipulating, and building databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in data engineering, including extract, transform, and load processes. 
  • Proficiency in at least two (2) programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or PHP, emphasizing versatility and adaptability in coding environments.
  • Experience working with APIs, including REST API and associated software such as Postman.
  • Familiarity with MS PowerShell or similar automation solutions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of how to communicate to various levels of management.
  • The ability to motivate learning and thrive in a teaching/training/mentoring role.
  • The ability to exercise excellent judgment and common sense, demonstrating a "make it happen" attitude.
  • Customer and team-oriented motivation, willing to collaborate to maintain excellence and exceed goals.
  • Comfortable working in cold environments with some areas of facilities as low as 4°C (40°F).
  • Excitement for working in a start-up environment with a high level of ambiguity and change.
  • High level of integrity and ethics with excellent follow-through.
