You might call yourself a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, Software Engineer, or Fullstack Developer.

We’re less interested in your title—and more in what drives you.

If you're passionate about solving complex challenges, streamlining operations, and helping an entire company become smarter with data, you might be the person we’re looking for.

What’s it like working at Mynewsdesk

We’re a small team of three with a big impact. The CRM & Operations team sits at the core of Mynewsdesk’s internal tech landscape—we connect systems, automate workflows, and make sure our colleagues can focus on what they do best.

We collaborate closely with commercial, finance, and product teams, supporting in everyday tasks, solving real business problems, and helping shape how the company operates.

We believe work should be both challenging and rewarding. You’ll have the freedom to dig into technical projects that matter, and the support to do it well. We work flexibly, with a hybrid workplace and flexible hours, because we trust each other to get things done.

What you’ll be doing

As our first dedicated Data Engineer, you’ll play a foundational role in shaping our data platform, driving automation, and enabling teams to make smarter and faster decisions.

Your role will be hands-on and high impact. You’ll architect, build, and improve our data infrastructure, while collaborating across teams and contributing to long-term strategy.

  • Lead the development and expansion of our self-hosted Data Warehouse (ClickHouse, dbt, Airbyte)
  • Automate and integrate data flows between core systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, and internal tools
  • Design pipelines and infrastructure that are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance
  • Own platform workflows (e.g.monitoring, data quality) and contribute to our infrastructure direction

To succeed with the above, you will need to partner up with our stakeholders, such as product, commercial, and finance teams to solve data challenges. By being the translator between technical setups and business needs we’ll succeed in delivering great insights to Mynewsdesk and the future growth.

By being the first, you will have the opportunity to shape our data strategy- and roadmap to archive our ambitious goals. We believe that you love getting your hands dirty but at the same time fly in the helicopter to see where we should go.

Who you are
  • 5+ years in Data Engineering or similar technical roles
  • Proven experience with self-hosted or open-source data infrastructure and data warehouses
  • Strong skills in SQL, dbt, and at least one general-purpose programming language
  • Comfortable building ETL pipelines and integrating APIs across business systemsFamiliar with Kubernetes (or willing to learn in a hands-on environment)
  • Able to collaborate and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset—you understand both architecture and business needs
How we work

We value initiative over hierarchy, you shape what we do. We’re collaborative, open to experimentation, and help where needed. We strive for simplicity over complex setups to enable everyone to understand what we're doing, gaining trust and actions.

We have fun, we innovate, and we provide a market-leading PR platform.
