THE ROLE

The Data & Analytics team at Pure Storage is seeking a Data Engineer - a hands-on and motivated data wizard who is passionate about unleashing the power of data to help us inform decision making, achieve our strategic objectives, As an integral part of the team, the Data Engineer will leverage their technical skills and business acumen to turn data into knowledge and drive business success. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and developing the critical infrastructure that will enable analysts and stakeholders to quickly and easily get the data they need and generate insights. He/she must be able to develop ETL/ELT pipelines, design data models, and utilize advanced SQL skills to create data warehouse views. In addition, he/she should be experienced in data wrangling, as well as designing and implementing reporting and analytics solutions. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the design, implementation, and automation of analytics solutions for End of Life programs ,that enable seamless customer transitions and business continuity.
  • Partner closely with Evergreen Product Managers in the DX Business Unit and the Pure1 Engineering team to architect robust datasets capturing the install base approaching EOL, and to develop an intelligent replacement recommendation engine enriched with dynamic pricing and discount optimization models.
  • Build metrics to track the program success in a visual form. Lead data developer for the Evergreen Cap project, spearheading the design and delivery of a component-level, predictive replacement framework, ensuring timely, proactive service for all Evergreen customers adhering to the compliance.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and conduct root cause analysis when reporting data is in question.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 7+ years relevant experience with Data Warehousing, ETL Development, Data Modeling, BI tools, and solutioning, preferably with a globally recognized organization.
  • Expert level SQL script writing skills (Snowflake preferred).
  • Experience in designing and creating data models for BI tools like Tableau
  • Bachelor’s/Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar field of study.
