As the Data Governance Manager for Betsson's newly established Data Governance team, the primary responsibility is to spearhead the implementation of a comprehensive end-to-end Data Governance framework, spanning the entirety of the Betsson data landscape from data sources to data platform and consumers.

 

KPIs for the Data Governance Team: 

• Enable users to effortlessly discover and access data within the organization.
• Improve data literacy by providing information about the data's origin, processing, and quality metrics.
• Establish trusted data with enhanced accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Implement access controls and data classification to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access or breaches.

 

A taster of what you will be involved with: 

Data Governance Framework and Policies:

• Develop and implement robust data governance frameworks and policies to ensure comprehensive coverage across the organization.
• Take ownership of the entire Data Governance process for Betsson, serving as a leader in driving best practices and adherence throughout the organization.

Data Governance Council:

• Set up and lead a Data Governance Council, fostering collaboration and alignment across diverse business units.

Data Quality Management:

• Manage and assess data quality across Betsson, implementing regular reviews and re-scoring procedures.

Data Governance Tools:

• Oversee and manage Data Governance tools, ensuring effective assessment of data availability, quality, usability, and integrity.
• Take full ownership of the Data Governance tool, overseeing its end-to-end functionality and optimization.

Best Practices Development:

• Develop best practices for measuring data quality, security, and lineage, collaborating with the Information Security (InfoSec) team.

Data Pipelines Reviews:

• Implement periodic reviews of data pipelines, ensuring efficiency and compliance with established standards.

Betsson Data Assets e-Store:

• Lead the creation of the Betsson Data Assets e-store, a comprehensive inventory showcasing all data assets with detailed data quality assessments and use cases.

Collaboration with Compliance Department:

• • Work closely with Betsson’s compliance department to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including monitoring compliance with data protection regulations, conducting audits, providing guidance on data handling practices, developing strategies for safeguarding customer data, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and addressing data privacy concerns.

This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in developing and implementing Data Governance frameworks, exceptional leadership skills, expertise in data quality management, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain Betsson's Data Governance standards and practices.
