The role

At HelloFresh, data is an important strategic asset. We manage its “Data-As-An-Asset” and maximize the value from data.  We are continuously growing our data capabilities and continue our journey to move from a central Data Warehouse to a Data Mesh, enabling domain data teams to build and maintain their own data products. This requires a new approach of Data Management and a complete transformation. For a transformation, such change involves reconfiguration of operating models and core business processes, workers-reskilling programs, and change-management aimed at shifting organisational culture, mind-sets, and behaviours. Broadly speaking, capturing the most value from the potential of data to enable our front-lines requires a new Data Management Program. We focus on establishing new frameworks, guidelines, processes and policies by which data is managed to satisfy the needs of HelloFresh.

The Data Management Program is accountable for transforming the approach to managing data to create an industry-leading data environment in terms of control, cost, and efficiency. 

The main purpose of the role is to assist in the development and operationalization of the Data Management Program. This role will involve working closely with business users both to understand their data needs and support them through the delivery of new capabilities, workflows and features through HelloFresh’s Data Management platform.

What you’ll do

• Support in the design, implementation and continuous improvement  of Data Management at HelloFresh around the globe
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data handling practices align with privacy policies
• Help in maintaining and updating privacy documentation, policies, and procedures
• Support a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data privacy compliance and data catalog solutions
• Define product requirements, user stories, and success metrics for data catalog and privacy products
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to build scalable solutions that address data privacy concerns and streamline data cataloging
• Work with stakeholders to improve data discovery, documentation, and usage through innovative data cataloging solutions

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Engineering or Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience - A Masters degree is preferred but not required
• Effective change management skills for product and services development
• Experience in project management, demand management, backlog prioritization and facilitation of workshops with end-users and customers
• Experience in business analysis with strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Bonus, but not required: basic SQL skills)
• Understanding of data management and innovation management as a business value and ability to transport this message to our stakeholders and senior leadership via presentation and very strong communication skills
• Self-starter in an agile environment, able to work autonomously with a good understanding of software and product development life cycle.
