About the Deal Desk Team

The Deal Desk Team plays a critical role in the quote-to-contract process by ensuring deals are structured efficiently and in alignment with company policies. The team currently sits under the Operational Finance Organization which is spread across the US, with majority in San Francisco, CA area and Barcelona,Spain. It is a rapidly growing team, with lots of cross-functional visibility, working closely with Finance, Sales, Legal, Partnerships, and more. Mixpanel’s Deal Desk is currently based out of San Francisco, London and Singapore and is looking to expand in India in order to provide Deal Structure and CPQ support for our APAC & EMEA Sales teams.

About the Role

The Deal Desk Associate should be detail oriented, have experience reviewing SaaS contracts, and feel comfortable interpreting commercial terms and conditions. They work well with ambiguity and adapt to priority changes in a rapid-paced work environment. This person excels at working independently, with minimal direct supervision, as well as collaboratively with their team and across different functions. The Deal Desk Associate is able to effectively communicate with all relevant stakeholders and navigate sales and finance systems under pressure. Their presence contributes to an overall efficiency of the Quote to contract process. This role will report to the Deal Operations Team Lead in San Francisco.

This role will primarily work Standard India hours, however during Quarter End extended or shifted hours may be requested.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact to review sales submitted quotes in Salesforce CPQ
  • Closely review Quotes in CPQ to ensure all deals are structured in alignment with company policy
  • Generate Order Forms and deploy DocuSign Envelopes to completion
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for CPQ & Salesforce best practices for a variety of internal teams such as Sales, Finance, and more
  • Maintain a robust knowledge of Mixpanel’s growing product offerings and price points
  • Create and follow through on Private Offers via Google Marketplace with support of Senior Deal Desk Analyst
  • Assist the team in ad-hoc training via zoom; Guide CPQ users how to create quotes from scratch or troubleshoot quote issues, and assist with efficiency
  • Document CPQ/Salesforce bugs for Team Lead to review
  • Assist Team Lead with Ad-hoc data entry and assist with Salesforce Data Cleanliness, including opportunities, quote, contract objects, etc.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 2+ Years experience in a SaaS company performing any of the following functions: Deal Desk, Order Management, Sales Contract Support, Deal Management, Sales Quoting Support, or Revenue Operations
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working with Salesforce CPQ or other CPQ tools
  • Experience in reviewing sales contracts and an ability to recognize risk in deal terms and/or structure to escalate as needed
  • Impeccable communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • An ability to multi-task and prioritize at times of high volume, as well as some schedule flexibility during End of Month and End of Quarter
  • A solid framework of the overall Contract Lifecycle

Bonus Points For

  • Experience troubleshooting, identifying, and escalating Salesforce/CPQ system bugs
  • Experience training and collaborating with a global a GTM sales team
  • Experience working in a fast paced start-up environment, preferably at a SaaS company
