DEMAND PLANNING AND OPERATIONS MANAGER (STARLINK) The Starlink Retail team is responsible for getting Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation delivering low-latency broadband internet, into retail stores around the world. The retail planning and operations manager is an individual contributor role that will be responsible for enabling the Starlink retail team to operate at scale.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive increased retail sales productivity and optimize sales allocation processes to achieve our Retail sales goals and targets
  • Establish comprehensive insights and analytics to track sales forecasts and kit activations by region/vertical to make educated decisions about retailer allocation
  • Partners with software development, sales, finance, fulfillment, and customer support to define and simplify cross-team handoffs.
  • Develop and improve processes throughout the sales lifecycle from PO ingestion to order delivery to kit activation.
  • Develop tools and processes for cash reporting, forecasting, and collection.
  • Serve as product manager / project owner for feature launches and software automation projects
  • Execute and improve processes that enables Starlink Retail to deploy at scale.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in planning or operations
  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; OR bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; OR 9+ years of experience working in one or more of the following:
    • Demand planning/forecasting
    • Operations or supply chain management
    • Engineering
    • Purchasing/Procurement
    • Contract negotiation
    • Material or production planning
    • Material cost control

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply first principals to business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to influence relationships across disciplines and multiple levels of management

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to travel for business trips as needed (up to 30%)
  • Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours
  • Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines
  • Position is based in Hawthorne, CA and requires being onsite – remote work not considered

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:   

Pay Range:   

Supply Chain Planning Manager: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00/per year   

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
