Our Product Design Team, aims to create innovative, user-centered products and we want to make EQS – a hidden champion – shine brighter. ✨ As a Design Systems Expert you will report to Head of Product Design and together with your team and peers, you’ll define design standards for components while getting your own hands “dirty”.  Here’s a sneak peek at how you would contribute: 

• Design Nerd – You are responsible for the design system, including UI components, patterns, layouts, color schemes, typography, and interactions.  
• You strive for consistency – Help the team define and create a unified interaction language for all EQS digital products Ensure that the design system is consistent, accessible, and user-friendly across all digital platforms and devices.  
• Evangelize design system – Act as a subject matter expert on design system principles, advocating for its use and benefits within the organization. 
• Collaborate – with Product engineers to ensure seamless integration of design system components into the development process.  
• Design products with what you have built – Design digital applications using the design system you created and suggest continuous improvements to it. Aim for the top! 
• Challenge everything – Conduct regular audits of digital products to identify areas for design system improvements and updates.

• You are a design systems enthusiast – and supporting designers and non-designers alike in using one drive and motivates you. 
• Figma is your home base – You understand atomic principles, the implementation of design tokens & variables. 
• Have a strong portfolio showcasing great UX and UI solutions as well as design systems - You have experience in designing and maintaining design systems for complex B2B digital products.  
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles - web standards, typography, accessibility, color theory, and layout principles.  
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design system implementation. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - You have the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale effectively. 
• Be a fluent English speaker. German is a nice-to-have.
