Our Opportunity:

The Employer Branding team is looking for a Digital Content Creator responsible for creating and leading video and photography projects for our Employer Branding social channels, Career Site, and internal Life@Chewy platforms, in addition to supporting various PR and Internal Communications projects. In this role, you’ll live and breathe all things video content, help activate and showcase our Chewy culture, and lead creative content through concept to execution. The successful candidate is motivated to make an impact, highly creative, engaged, relentlessly curious, and an exceptional storyteller.

 

A background shooting and editing video is a requirement. On a day-to-day basis, this person will attend creative brainstorms, ideate concepts, and shoot and edit social-first video that be implemented across a variety of channels. We are looking for an individual who has the drive and desire to make a big impact, who thrives at working with diverse teams to tackle big challenges, and who not only lives and breathes videography but is passionate about pushing creative boundaries and measuring results. This role will report into the Associate Director, Employer Branding and Team Member Engagement.

 

What you'll do:

  • Concept, shoot and edit social-first photo and video assets to drive brand awareness and affinity
  • Capture and curate static and video assets that can feed our internal and external Life@Chewy channels.
  • Partner with Chewy Studio teams to leverage existing resources and photo/video shoots as a curation platform for EGC-style social content
  • Service rapid turnaround times while capture trending moments and delivering and receiving feedback
  • Creating emotional, impactful, trend and culture-oriented content for Life@Chewy and aligned to our overarching Chewy Brand
  • Work with a wide range and quality of video and static imagery - from a collection of photography to short video clips - and turn them into content assets built for individual platforms and audiences
  • Engage daily with team leaders and cross-functional departments to offer creative solutions on set and for processes
  • Collaborate with our creative and strategy teams to create and manipulate pre-shot video, photography, social copy, gifs, short clips, streaming stories, etc. 

 

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in content production and design
  • Must love working with pets and animals of all shapes and sizes
  • Can shoot and edit natively in app for various platforms
  • Responsible, accountable, deeply passionate about their your personal interests and hobbies, and of course, kind, compassionate, and empathetic because you love the magic of collaboration
  • The ideal candidate has been directly responsible for creating brand social content at an agency, production company or publisher
  • Comfortable being on camera and flying while speaking
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, reacting with sound judgement and often without specific direction
  • Proven ability developing social creative is a must – responsible for taking briefs and turning them into brand social assets
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and crafting engaging videos for brands
  • Exemplary time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Travel expectation – 20%
