This role in a nutshell:

You drive technical strategy and operations for digital experience platforms- focussed on achieving the best technical outcomes to meet colleague needs, financial targets and external industry innovation. 

You are a senior engineer within a squad of specialists and engineers - providing technical mentorship to others in the team and leading collaborative problem solving to complex colleague experience challenges.

As a team our goals are to optimise cost-to-serve and ensure that a backlog of training, workflow and integration development and configuration is aligned with the digital experience requirements of over 10,000 people delivering plan zero.

 

Your key outcomes will be to:

  • Build a deep understanding of current and future internal stakeholder needs.
  • Lead technical standards within the Digital Experience landscape - in alignment with security and architecture frameworks. This includes a focus on:
    • Monitoring and alerting
    • Re-usability of features
    • Technical estimation
    • Testing and Quality Assurance
    • Technical / Product Debt
    • Operational integration
  • Contribute to the roadmap and architecture design of internal tooling across the full lifecycle of digital experience.
  • Identify solutions to technical problems that balance effort and reward for the highest impact across all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across OVOTech teams (and with Finance and Procurement) to contribute to build vs buy recommendations for relevant parts of our digital experience.
  • Determine the design and approach to integrating digital experience capabilities into other internal applications as needed.
  • Contribute to and collaborate with the Ovo Engineering Community within and outside the department

We’ll pay you between £53,550 - £70.950, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
