Digital Transformation Consultant (FREELANCE)

We have an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Digital Transformation Consultant to join our team on a freelance basis. This role can be fully remote, providing the individual works in an European timezone (GMT or GMT+1)
The Digital Transformation Consultant has extensive expertise in business process design and change management within social media operations for large organisations. They grasp the entire social media lifecycle, encompassing everything from initial brief ideation, campaign and asset production, media buying and execution, performance monitoring and optimisation, ensuring a seamless and effective operational flow.
The consultant will work in collaboration with a dedicated AKQA team to innovate and refine the social media processes of a big FMCG brand, ensuring these processes align with the latest industry standards and the client brand’s objectives.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Process design for Social Media innovation:
- Understand the current ways of workings of the Client’s social media department and areas for innovation and improvement.
- Help to design and finalise strategies and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
Process implementation/ change management:
- Design detailed internal rollout strategies for the newly recommended processes.
- Ensure that the strategies are tailored to suit the unique needs and dynamics of the organisation.
Presentation and reporting:
- Support in the creation of compelling presentations to key stakeholders, outlining the proposed changes and strategies.
- Prepare documentation supporting the new processes and strategies.
Stakeholder engagement:
- Work closely with various department heads and team members to understand their needs and concerns.
- Confidently address and manage any challenges or objections from clients or internal stakeholders.
QUALITIES & CHARACTERISTICS
- Prior experience spearheading digital transformation initiatives with a focus on social media.
- Knowledge of social media department operations in large organisations.
- Strong understanding of media and social media workflows.
- Understanding of different social media channel architectures.
- Robust capability in organisation and workflow design.
- Expertise in process design and change management within social media operations.
- Proficiency in creating and delivering presentations.
- Ability to work comfortably in challenging situations with high-profile clients and fast-paced environments.
NOTE - this is a freelance role for an approximate period of 3months, with potential extension.
