As we expand our enterprise and ecosystem presence, we're seeking a visionary Director of Sales – Business Technology to lead technology strategy, system delivery, and process innovation across our Presales, Sales, Partner, and Corporate Development functions.

This is a senior leadership role within the Business Technology organization, responsible for shaping and scaling the systems, experiences, and teams that power our Sales and Go-to-market business teams.

Position Overview:

The Director of Sales – Business Technology is accountable for building and leading the platforms, processes, and technical solutions that support the entire customer lifecycle — from solution design through deal closure, partnerships, and acquisitions. This leader will partner closely with executive stakeholders across Presales, Field Sales, Strategic Partnerships, and CorpDev to deliver a cohesive systems strategy, while ensuring an exceptional internal user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Systems Strategy & Ownership: Define and execute the long-term systems roadmap supporting Sales, Presales, Partners, and CorpDev — including architecture, integration, scalability, and performance of platforms such as Salesforce, Clari, and related ecosystems.
  • Presales & Sales Process Enablement: Partner with sales and solution engineering leaders to deliver streamlined workflows that support qualification, solutioning, pricing collaboration, and pipeline accuracy
  • Corporate Development Technology Support: Collaborate with CorpDev on systems and data that support M&A evaluation, due diligence, integration, and strategic partnership insights.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and scale a high-impact team of product analysts, engineers, and product managers. Foster a culture of delivery excellence, innovation, and user empathy.
  • User-Centric Design: Drive simplification and usability across all sales-facing platforms to reduce friction and increase productivity.
  • Enterprise Integration & Collaboration: Ensure alignment and integration with key internal systems (e.g., ERP, CPQ, HRIS, Finance) and cross-functional programs.
  • Governance & Compliance: Maintain security, compliance, and data governance best practices within all sales-related systems and processes.
  • Program Management & Execution: Deliver complex, high-visibility initiatives on time and with measurable impact, ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout. What You’ll Bring:
    • 15+ years of experience leading technology strategy or systems implementation in an enterprise sales or revenue operations context, preferably within a Business Technology/IT function.
    • Proven leadership across technical teams supporting Sales, Presales, Partners, and Corporate Development.
    • Deep understanding of B2B enterprise sales workflows, partner models, and M&A processes.
    • Hands-on experience with major enterprise platforms (Salesforce, Clari, partner portals, data and integration platforms).
    • Strong architectural and process design skills, with an eye for user experience and scale.
    • Demonstrated success in leading large programs and aligning cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize high-impact work in a fast-paced environment.
    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a technical field; MBA or advanced degree a plus. Leadership Competencies:

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $227,000—$341,000 USD

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$203,000—$305,000 USD
