Payoneer’s banking network is a cornerstone of the Payoneer platform, and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with our bank partners is critical to our ongoing success. As the Director of APAC Banking and Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our payment strategies in the APAC region. You will lead relationships with strategic banking partners across key APAC markets, driving the development, implementation, and management of our banking and payment infrastructure. Your work will ensure our systems meet the growing needs of our business while adhering to local and international regulatory requirements. With Payoneer’s banking relationships spanning multiple geographies, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the globe, ensuring a seamless, innovative, and efficient approach to payments and banking in APAC.

What you’ll be spending your time on:

  • Partnership Management: Cultivate and manage strategic banking and payment partner relationships across APAC markets, negotiating agreements that enhance our service offerings and operational efficiency.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the vision for banking and payment infrastructure in APAC, ensuring alignment with Payoneer’s overall business objectives and local market needs.
  • Infrastructure Development: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable, secure, and compliant banking and payment infrastructure tailored to the APAC region.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with banking partners and internal compliance teams to ensure that Payoneer’s banking operations in APAC adhere to local regulatory standards, including AML, KYC, and data protection.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance to execute the global banking strategy with a focus on APAC and address operational challenges.
  • Innovation and Efficiency: Drive innovation in payment technologies and processes to enhance user experience and operational efficiency in the region.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to the APAC banking infrastructure and partner relationships, ensuring robust risk management practices are in place.

For this role, you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in banking, payments, or financial services, with a significant focus on the APAC region in a senior role.
  • Proven track record in managing banking relationships and payment infrastructure across APAC markets.
  • Deep understanding of APAC’s banking and payment systems, regulatory environments, and industry best practices.
  • Strong strategic leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive initiatives aligned with both global and regional business objectives.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities with a network of contacts in the APAC financial sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment technologies, trends, and innovations in the region.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Results-driven, with a focus on delivering high-impact outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
