Key Qualifications

  • Successful design and implementation of Quality Management processes to ASPICE Level 3 capability, Process Assessment Model (PAM) v4.0
  • Good understanding of corporate Quality Management System, IAF 16949
  • Good understanding of Automotive Standards ISO 26262:2018 including HARA, SOTIF, Safety Goals, ASIL Ratings
  • Experience in ISO 26262 and evaluating the work products meet standards for functional safety requirements, e.g. hazard and risk assessment (HARA), item definition, functional safety concept, technical safety concept, FTAs, DFMEAs, criticality analysis, other safety analyses, and test coverage analysis for safety requirements
  • Good foundational knowledge of vehicle safety systems and key features and functions of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS)
  • Good understanding of Automotive Cybersecurity ISO / SAE 21434:2021
  • Experience in implementing QMS processes and achieving IATF 16949:2016 site certification, developing and/or approving Software Quality policies, procedures, processes, work instructions, and forms for Software Quality,
  • Experience maintaining/building relationships with external and internal Automotive OEM and tiered customers while driving improvements
  • Thorough understanding of quality tools (APQP process, root cause analysis, 8D/5 Why)
  • Good understanding of embedded systems / software / hardware development fundamentals including System / SW Engineering V Model
  • Requirements engineering experience through Verification and Validation with traceability of requirements down and up the V Model
  • Experiencing managing OTA and in person reflash campaigns coordinated with customers
  • Experience with Electrical / Electronic automotive safety product development (systems and/or components)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present topics to individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Experience in conducting assessments and audits
  • Automotive SPICE provisional assessor certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related Engineering degree from an accredited university
  • Experience 15+ years in Automotive Software/Systems Development
  • Quality Certification(s)

Great to have

  • Knowledge in various industry tools used for product development at System, Software and/or Hardware level
  • Experience in Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) Level 2 or greater
  • Experience working with Machine Learning / Deep Learning systems

 

Responsibilities

  • Govern the execution of Software Quality and own Software Quality activities and the results of all Software Quality Processes
  • Evaluate the current Product development and Management practices by performing Discovery Analysis, Internal Audits, Assessments and reviews.
  • Lead and coordinate creation of System and Software development process documentation and work products according to Automotive SPICE including Automotive Cybersecurity considerations
  • Support System and Software development according to relevant standards
  • Analyze impact of Automotive SPICE and create awareness across various functions within the organization
  • Lead the implementation of processes to meet compliance with international standards
  • Utilize project management practices to manage activities for projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Develop and deliver training in ASPICE as well as all other SW Quality areas of expertise
  • Develop plans to achieve established objectives
  • Oversee/Manage and lead a team by providing guidance (ASPICE report rating, risk escalation, customer support..) and providing written reports as necessary to capture progress with continuous improvement activities
  • Drive continuous improvement mindset
  • Own the collection of Lessons Learned, Best Practices, and drive team feedback into released documentation regardless of process ownership
  • Projects support:
    • Define and Drive quality assurance plan and project quality metrics as per Automotive SPICE® quality assurance process
    • Reporting:
      • Report the quality assurance process performance, the project team SW quality metrics and any risks identified to the management with appropriate Corrective Actions and Risk Management Plan
      • Report status and key deliverables committed to customer at meetings with customers as committed in customer contract / business award (SQA metrics, report any process milestone status, ...)
    • Lead and/or participate in external or internal audits and assessments and customers meetings for topics related to System and Software quality on a need basis
    • Approve SW Quality Reports prior to release to customer
    • Continuous process improvement: Work with Engineering Methods and Tools team to improve system and software process definition
