As part of this mission, Chewy Health is currently seeking a Director, Category Management, to join our growing and fast-paced Healthcare Services team. We have a unique opportunity to change the way Chewy partners with veterinarians to provide a WOW pet parent experience, and we are looking for an inspirational leader and builder who can build the strategy for and deliver results against Chewy’s clinic engagement model.

In this role you will own the business growth strategy, category P&L, and continuously assess services and offerings to stay ahead of the competition. What You’ll Do:

• Lead one of Chewy’s most important businesses categories.
• Drive end-to-end sales and margin delivery as the GM and P&L owner.
• Lead high stake negotiations across the biggest manufactures in the industry, focusing on long term growth and scale.
• Lead the team on managing our network of vendor partners to build win-win, meaningful and long lasting relationships.
• Build and own the long-term strategy for growth and profit including new innovation, required business and product features, operating plans, and driving execution.
• Work cross functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Pricing, Merch Operations and Product to ensure collaboration as well as holistic planning and execution of category strategy.
• Develop and execute overall product assortment strategy to maximize sales and margin.
• Use customer insights and anticipate needs to stay ahead of customer expectations and needs to deliver market-leading customer offerings.
• Develop further, strongly engage, and lead a high-performance team.

What You’ll Need:

• 12+ years of holistic business experience in top ecommerce, retail, Pet Health, or similar organizations.
• 10+ years of leadership experience.
• Have been the sole P&L owner of an important business and/or big product unit.
• Exceptional competencies in customer management, sales, marketing, and general management.
• Very good understanding of finance, pricing, and operations.
• Experienced with owning and growing large-size and complex businesses at high growth rate.
• Strong comprehensive business acumen and the willingness to move fast.
• Excellent strategic and analytical skills.
• Proven operator, skilled in go-to-market, and with focus on executing in excellence.
• Superior sense of ownership paired with a high-quality bar and an unshakable growth mindset.
• Strong leadership skills and experience developing and managing a high-performance team.
• Superb communication skills combined with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• Must be open to travel if needed. 
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.

Bonus (if applicable):

• MBA preferred.
• Business and leadership experience in market-leading organizations; both in bigger organizations and a start-up businesses.
