Director, Infrastructure Delivery
Fastly is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager/Director, Infrastructure Delivery to lead the strategic development and end-to-end execution of global infrastructure deployment projects. This role is critical in defining and delivering capacity to support Fastly's expanding network and services, critical to enabling Fastly’s continued growth, service performance, and market competitiveness.. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in infrastructure program and portfolio management, a strong technical foundation, and experience working cross-functionally with engineering, sourcing, and operations teams, as well as influencing executive stakeholders.
What You'll Do:

Define, lead, and manage complex, strategic global infrastructure deployment programs from conceptualization and execution planning through final delivery across data centers and network POPs, ensuring alignment with Fastly's long-term network architecture and business objectives.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, sourcing, legal) and external partners (e.g., data center providers, vendors) at a strategic level to ensure project milestones, capacity targets, and budgets are met, proactively identifying and resolving macro-level roadblocks.

Design and continuously optimize infrastructure delivery processes to enable scale, reduce complexity, and enhance operational efficiency globally.

Drive executive visibility through strategic project plans, reporting frameworks, and actionable insights.

Serve as the primary strategic escalation point for resolving complex, cross-functional project-related issues across internal and external stakeholders, driving systemic solutions and preventing future recurrence.

Work closely with network design and planning teams to translate long-term strategic build plans into executable projects, ensuring seamless integration with overall business and product roadmaps.

Drive strategic vendor relationships and negotiations for key infrastructure partnerships, optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Manage significant CapEx and OpEx budgets related to global infrastructure deployment, ensuring fiscal responsibility and maximum ROI.

Lead, mentor, and develop team members across Supply Chain, Data Center Infrastructure (DCI), and Data Center Planning (DCP), building a high-performing, accountable organization.
What We're Looking For:

8+ years of experience in infrastructure delivery, technical program management, or network deployment within cloud, CDN, telecom, or internet services, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.

Experience managing global infrastructure programs and/or portfolios with tight timelines and complex vendor coordination.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence and strategic alignment, including other managers.

Deep understanding of data center technologies, connectivity, and physical infrastructure components.

Demonstrated success in delivering infrastructure in alignment with network capacity, availability, and latency goals, and their direct impact on critical business outcomes.

Excellent executive-level communication, organization, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in a content delivery network (CDN), hyperscale cloud provider, or telecom infrastructure provider.

Knowledge of vendor negotiation and contract execution related to data center builds or network rollouts.

Experience scaling delivery processes in high-growth or global environments.
Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.
There is a strong preference for Hybrid near a local office. However, we may be willing to consider remote candidates within the US.
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary:
The estimated salary range for this position is $228,280.00 to $273,936.00.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
