THE ROLE

As the Director of NAND Strategy & Planning, you will assist in architecting Pure’s long-term flash memory roadmap, ensuring our technology remains at the forefront of the industry. You will transform complex market intelligence into high-impact sourcing and investment strategies, directly influencing multi-year business outcomes and product architecture. By collaborating closely with Engineering, Finance, and Executive leadership, you will navigate volatile global markets to secure a competitive advantage and drive sustainable growth for the enterprise.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Strategic Market Leadership: Lead the development of Pure’s enterprise NAND strategy by analyzing supply/demand dynamics, technology node transitions, and geopolitical risks to guide executive-level decision-making.
  • Executive Influence & Communication: Translate intricate market data and financial modeling into actionable executive briefings, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on risk mitigation and investment trade-offs.
  • Cross-Functional Product Alignment: Partner with Engineering and Product teams to synchronize NAND sourcing with product roadmaps, ensuring technical specifications meet both hyperscale demand and market availability.
  • Supplier Ecosystem Optimization: Shape supplier selection and diversification strategies by evaluating global investment plans and manufacturing capabilities to optimize Pure's leverage and supply continuity.
  • Advanced Strategic Modeling: Design and own sophisticated forecasting tools and KPIs to assess pricing exposure and inventory strategy, allowing the business to pivot effectively as market conditions evolve.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Deep Domain Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the NAND flash ecosystem, including supplier economics, semiconductor manufacturing cycles, and memory technology transitions.
  • Strategic & Financial Acumen: Proven ability to build complex market models and investment analyses that drive multi-million dollar business decisions.
  • Influence & Leadership: Demonstrated success leading through influence in ambiguous, high-stakes environments and the ability to build consensus across technical and commercial teams.
  • Executive Communication: Mastery in distilling complex technical and market concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for C-suite audiences.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the {{OFFICE_LOCATION}} office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
