Role summary

As Director of Brand and Communications for HelloFresh and Green Chef, you play a pivotal role in developing and refining brand marketing strategies for HelloFresh and Green Chef in alignment with the company's mission and objectives. You will lead the local brand team to deliver against our brand ambitions including traditional upper funnel campaigns across PR, OOH & Radio, digital channels such as YouTube, Paid Social and product marketing. You are an experienced brand leader well versed in working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with peers alongside having experience leading a high-performing team across core brand functions including Brand Campaigns, Creative, PR and Product Marketing. This role is a key role within the Marketing Leadership team reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer alongside partnering with the Global SVP of Brand and their teams in Berlin. 

Core Responsibilities

Brand Marketing:

  • Develop and refine the brand marketing strategy for HelloFresh and Green Chef in alignment with the company's mission, vision, and business objectives.
  • Partner with the global brand (HQ in Berlin) to ensure brand plans are strategically aligned from a global perspective and meet brand objectives.
  • Ensure all brand plans are differentiated in light of the UK competitor landscape and deliver against key messages in a distinct way.
  • Stay updated on market trends and competitors to adapt the brand strategy as needed. Share trends and updates with global stakeholders.
  • any risk to that. 

Brand Planning: 

  • Work closely with direct reports and key stakeholders to build, innovate and execute the creation of brand marketing, advertising and product marketing campaigns to deliver the brand's objectives. 
  • Partner with global teams to manage UK AtL channels including TV, OOH and radio. Responsible for the creative and strategic direction for OOH and Radio. 
  • Manage local brand budget including building local budget, managing weekly, monthly and quarterly spending. Ensure all costs are tracked and match budget and financial views.

Communication and Creative Management:

  • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, including marketing materials, product marketing (eg. In box), and customer experiences. 
  • Responsible for adhering to global brand and Tone of Voice guidelines and ensuring all teams and materials are consistent. 
  • Work closely with the PR manager, global corporate communications team and external agency to protect the brand's reputation and manage any risk to that. 

Stakeholder Management: 

  • Partner with UK CMO, Director of Growth, and Director of Analytics to share cross-functional learnings and develop a cohesive marketing strategy that drives performance. 
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with the global brand team, reporting on key brand metrics and updates for the UK market such as awareness, consideration, and value metrics. 

Team Management: 

  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team made up of brand, product marketing and PR specialists. 
  • Support teams

  • Previous experience leading brand teams 
  • Experience working in D2C subscriptions and across multiple brands is a plus
