How you can help make a better world of work

Culture Amp is looking for a Director of Data Science, AI/ML to lead the strategy and operations of our data science and machine learning practices. Data Science at Culture Amp is distributed across a number of cross-functional teams, working on initiatives ranging from original research on the world of work, through to fast-paced, innovative GenAI product development. 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced human to drive the development and implementation of our data-informed solutions. This role will be instrumental in shaping our platform AI strategy, ensuring data is appropriately secured and protected whilst maximising the value of our data assets.

We are looking for someone to build the foundations for the next stage of Culture Amp’s growth, through:

  • Thought Leadership: Define and articulate a clear vision for the future of AI and machine learning within the company, shaping the strategic direction of the practice. Proactively identify emerging trends and technologies, evaluate their applicability, and advocate for their adoption
  • Influence and Collaboration: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Product Group and the business, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable data science solutions
  • Team Leadership and Management: Motivate, and lead a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, collaboration and commercial thinking
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of data science methodologies, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analysis techniques. Stay abreast of cutting-edge advancements in the field and ensure that the team leverages best practices and tools.
  • Communication and Presentation: Articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences

What You Bring to Our Camp

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence across the organization
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods, modeling, and research methodology, including machine learning techniques and algorithms
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders 
  • Experience with programming languages and modeling tools such as SQL, R, and Python.
  • Research skills - systematically collect qualitative and quantitative inputs, draw on sharp analytical skills, intuition and empathy to find non-obvious patterns, and distill it all into actionable insights
