The role

As a Director of Engineering, you’ll be helping us build and grow an outstanding engineering team and culture in our Riga HQ2. You will lead multiple teams of talented and creative engineers who build products and systems they are proud of. You will help improve other managers through growing future and current leaders within the business while pushing for exceptionally high-quality work and empowering our engineers to make a big impact. 

We’re looking for a talented leader who wants to focus on Engineering excellence, growing and retaining brilliant talent while setting the direction and cutting through complexities to drive a high performance culture.

What excites us  

  • Experience of building and managing agile teams/departments of  20+ people. Experienced with managing both manager and individual contributors up to Principal level.
  • Experience of working at scale - where security and operational excellence are critical to success
  • Delivery - Somebody who ensures project work is delivered, that estimates are accurate, that time is tracked and that velocity is measured and used as a way to improve the teams
  • Clear communication - concise, regular communication to a leadership team (often non-technical) on progress against strategy and team objectives will be needed.
  • A strategic mindset - tackling the long-term roadmaps and dealing with our longer term problems and vision.

Salary: 7,500 - 11,000 eur/gross
