YOUR MISSION

This role is for a senior manager (Director of Finance & Strategy) and member of Glovo’s Poland Leadership Team, who will lead the Finance team and own strategy that will shape the future of our business in the country and beyond

We're looking for someone who has a mix of below:

  • Operational excellence - to get great work done in every detail
  • Collaboration and negotiation skills needed to deliver results with internal (local departments, HQ finance teams), and external (third party contractors, auditors, tax authorities…) stakeholders
  • Strategic, innovative and creative thinking that's required to develop outside the box solutions to bring Glovo’s strategy and profitability to next level
  • Management skills and emotional intelligence required to lead and inspire a team

THE JOURNEY

  • Lead the Finance Department in Poland and take decisions that will shape the future of our business in the country and beyond
  • General Manager’s right-hand in all finance & strategic topic
  • Manage financial statements, profitability strategy and preparation of forecasts & budgeting
  • Be involved in management financial controls: definition of procedures, the design of budget processes.
  • Prepare & present monthly, quarterly / annual finance reports and analysis (P&L and cost-saving plans)
  • Prepare analysis and justifications of actuals data, forecasts, and deviations
  • Study the viability of investments/projects - reports, strategic reorientation, etc.
  • Assess new business opportunities and new vertical developments and changes to drive investments in line with growth & profitability guidelines
  • Incubate and lead the launch of new projects in the Country
  • Support & oversee treasury/accounting, financial policies in line with local and international guidelines
  • Coordinate preparation and ensure accuracy of necessary Financial Statements
  • Supervise the relationship with third parties: external auditors, administrations, external consultants
  • Ad hoc analysis to provide the different managers with information for decision making.
  • Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • 10+ years of experience in total
  • 7+ years of experience in Finance and/or Consulting 
  • 7+ years in a Leadership Role
  • Bachelor's degree in finance and/or business (MBAs/ACCA/CPA Certification would be an advantage)
  • Knowledge of local accounting and tax standards (Local GAAP)

  • Team leadership:
    • 7+ years of experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve collective goals
    • Experience building and managing high-performance teams to achieve ambitious goals: strong organisational skills and delegation, ability to prioritise and multitask, work well under pressure, and handle multiple issues simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Business acumen:
    • Proven track record of understanding and empathising with colleagues’ / partners' challenges, and objectives to create strategies and deliver value through collaboration
  • Stakeholder collaboration:
    • External: Proven experience of working with external partners and governmental authorities to align on strategic initiatives and ensure seamless collaboration
    • Internal: You’re an expert on managing stakeholders, working with peers, and leveraging other teams aspiring to do what’s best for the company
  • Project management
    • Highly organised and detail-oriented approach, you are able to maintain and deliver on time multiple project simultaneously
  • Other
    • Excellent knowledge of Google Suite and/or MS Office, Excel
    • Excellent written and spoken Polish & English language
