 Reporting to the VP of Tax, the Director of Global Controversy, Transfer Pricing and Tax Planning will join the global tax leadership team to develop and drive strategies for tax optimization.  This leader will collaborate closely with a well-established tax team along with cross-functional partners in Finance, Legal and other areas of the business.    

  

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide overall direction and leadership in the development and implementation of transfer pricing practices, policies, and strategies.
  • Lead global tax controversy matters, including Mutual Agreement Procedures. Manage audit strategy and responses to relevant tax authorities. 
  • Partner closely with cross functional business partners to maintain a deep understanding of our legal entity operations, transaction flows, risks and functions.
  • Manage the completion of all contemporaneous TP documentation and reporting under OECD and jurisdictional requirements in the US and all relevant foreign jurisdictions.
  • Monitor changes in global transfer pricing laws and communicate those changes to the appropriate stakeholders within the organization.
  • Identify, document, and support the uncertain tax positions related to transfer pricing issues.
  • Lead quarterly and year end closing processes related to transfer pricing, including legal entity forecasting.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to the transfer pricing team.
  • Assist with various additional projects as directed by VP of Tax.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 12+ years of transfer pricing experience – A combination of Big 4/law firm and large corporate experience preferred;
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience;
  • Graduate degree, JD or CPA or equivalent qualification preferred;
  • Effective verbal & written communication skills;
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and deep attention to detail;
  • Strong technical tax knowledge with demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and managing global transfer pricing tax projects;
  • In-depth knowledge of international transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements;
  • Advanced project management skills, proven ability to manage and prioritize workloads while working in a team with various members of the tax department and/or business;
  • Ability to partner effectively with business management, legal, and finance personnel;
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex tax issues, opportunities, and risks to non-tax stakeholders;
  • Advanced skills in interpreting complex data coming from a variety of sources in multiple formats; and
  • Team-first mentality.
