How you can help make a better world of work

We are passionate about data at Culture Amp, and having a winning data strategy is crucial for our success. We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Product to join our Data Intelligence Camp, (Camps are what we call our product teams!). This camp’s mission is in the name - we’re here to improve the quality, discoverability and accessibility of data to the broader product group at Culture Amp, ultimately with the aim of delivering inimitable customer value from our data strategy. We want to inspire our teams, enabling them to better contribute to and use data by showing them what truly great data and insights looks like.

In this role you will work within a cross-functional leadership team to take ownership of strategy execution and the roadmap, and you’ll embark on a journey of discovery to ensure our teams are enabled to effectively use data.

What you’ll spend time doing:

  • Drive, evolve, and shepherd the execution of our data strategy to ensure whole of business alignment
  • Mentor a small team of Product Managers to hone their craft and level up their capabilities
  • Collaborate across all camps including with the Data Intelligence leadership team (Engineering, Design, and Data Science leaders) to refine and deliver an aligned data strategy, with a well-oiled execution machine
  • Partner with your product peers across the function to influence and enable the effective use of data to realise our strategy
  • Formulate goals and ways of working that promote cross-product collaboration and deliver ambitious product outcomes
  • Collaborate with top notch Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and People Scientists
  • Communicate with a broad range of stakeholders, including highly technical domain specialists, as well as completely non-technical colleagues, with a strong ability to align, challenge and drive collaborative strategic execution

What you’ll potentially bring to the table:

  • Significant expertise in Product Management leadership roles
  • Expertise and experience in data-specific product challenges, balancing the needs of our product teams and end users, including internal customers
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the desire to own, drive and build clarity
  • Structured thinking, that ties both strategic outcomes and commercial ambition to the day-to-day, giving clear guidance to technical teams on what should be prioritised and why
  • The ability to take broader strategy and turn it into a pragmatic yet ambitious set of priorities over various time horizons
  • A strong toolkit of product management frameworks for prioritisation and documentation
  • The ability to apply consistent product development processes and practices that set teams up for success (such as lean development), and adopt practices set at the group level for effective company-wide co-ordination
  • The ability to communicate and distill highly complex and detailed topics into very simple and concise formats - both verbally, in written format, and in a structured way
  • The ability to collaborate with and influence a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, demonstrated in increasing organisational data productisation and delivery of data-related customer outcomes across adjacent product areas (i.e. not in your direct control)
  • A drive to build and foster highly-effective teams
  • Willingness to collaborate with our European product team (not in direct reporting line, but close collaborators)
  • Curiosity and passion for people and culture, and their linkage to business outcomes. At heart, you're what we call a people geek!
