As our Director of Product Marketing you will work closely with leaders in sales, marketing, and product to align on how we get Culture Amp into the hands of our best-fit customers. You'll be influential across marketing, solutions architecture, partnerships, product, customer success, and sales. You will build strong relationships with leaders of these functions and both learn from and influence the direction of these orgs. This position can only be performed from the San Francisco Bay Area. The salary range is $200-250k + equity.

In this job, you will be focused on:

    • Positioning, messaging, and Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) for the core platform
    • Pricing & packaging roadmap. The leader of this role will work collaboratively to define a high-level roadmap getting us from the current state to a mature pricing model.
    • Revenue and profitability goals. The leader of this role should be able to structure quantitative arguments for why or why not to pursue a given segment, vertical, or solution.
    • Enablement materials such as core content for marketing, sales, and channel deliverables, sales tools, and sales collateral

Build a product marketing team that uses customer research and data to improve our answers to the most important go-to-market questions. The leader of this team will be experienced in gathering insights from customer research, voice of customers, survey data, and product analytics to always improve our understanding of key GTM questions:

  • What do we sell and to whom? (pricing, packaging, bundling)
  • What is our value proposition? (positioning, messaging, content creation)
  • How do we communicate our value prop to our Ideal Customer? (input on sales and channel strategy)
  • How do we communicate our value prop to the market? (input on global campaigns, media & analyst relations)

Lead a team of exceptional product marketers. This team is currently three people and will grow over the next year. The leader of this team will need to define clear goals and success metrics for a function that is notoriously challenging to measure. Success here will include:

    • Recruiting new team members
    • Structuring roles to best deliver organizational results while also developing compelling career paths for your team
    • Aligning your teams initiatives with company level OKRs
    • Developing product marketing talent

You are a good fit if you:

  • You operate as an owner. You feel a deep sense of ownership over the success of your products in the market. You know your metrics and how you are performing against them. You create alignment around critical problems, design solutions, navigate tradeoffs, and break those solutions down into steps the entire organization can execute on.
  • You have a bias for action. You feel urgency to achieve impact. You use data, research, and strong relationships to create focus for your own team and the rest of the organization — aligning resources around areas of high-impact. You are scrappy. You move quickly and that motivates others to keep up with you. You do not measure your success in outputs, but in outcomes.
  • You have the ability to create and orchestrate outcomes across the company. Culture Amp Labs is not a tops-down organization. The leadership team operates with a high degree of transparency, we publish company-wide OKRs, and we have best-in-class data management practices. From there, leaders throughout the org are expected to create clarity and drive toward action.
  • You are a talented people manager. You’ve managed PMM teams of at least 10. You have experience coaching & developing emerging talent & leaders. You create focus for individual members of your team, while building a healthy team dynamic that creates space for all types of people to be successful. You are known for giving frequent and clear feedback to everyone you work with.
  • You are a trusted & admired leader. You operate from a sense of strong personal values. You have personal credibility and integrity and people trust that you will make good decisions. You are recognized as a leader both inside and outside the organizations in which you work.

Bonus points:

  • You have experience in HR Tech
  • You have experience managing fully-remote teams
  • You have experience with AI, Data Analytics
  • You have experience working at fast-growth startups
