Location: Hybrid / Kingston - a minimum of 2 days in the office is required

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Director of Social, Content & Community will lead our award-winning UK social content and community management operation, as well as helping to lead our global operation based in-house at a global FMCG powerhouse.

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

You will be leading a team of Content and Community Managers who drive conversation and excitement around world-famous brands online.

You are a strategic thinker who has extensive experience in developing impactful social playbooks and proposals to persuade clients, win business and drive fame for brands.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Partnering with our client and local leadership to identify and drive new opportunities in social, across the client’s footprint
  • Leading the UK team of 10+ CCMs, supporting them, inspiring them and mentoring them to produce excellent outcomes for clients
  • Provide strategic social media consultancy to high-level clients and develop social strategy documents for brands
  • Standardising ways of workings across the clients Social and Community Management discipline globally
  • Leading and coaching social and non-social team members across the business to drive excellence and raise the bar on social media work.
  • Building positive working relationships with clients and partnering closely with senior clients to deliver against the changing needs of the business.
  • Developing strategic documents such as social playbooks, operational ways of working for social and community managers and their roll out and implementation globally.
  • Managing multiple complex stakeholders on both client and agency sides.
  • Leading an agency team to success whilst simultaneously driving year on year growth in line with KPIs.
  • Emanate and cultivate in wider teams an appreciation for all things social. You need to have an in-depth working knowledge of all platforms and understand content end to end.
  • Inspiring, educating and energising clients and teams alike to see the power of social and how it can drive measurable impact for brands.
  • Understanding of the role and penetration of social platforms across markets.

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL

  • 10+ years of experience working on social in agencies or brands
  • Proven experience leading a team of people
  • Excellent client handling skills with commercial acumen
  • Understanding of operational needs of social teams in an agency
  • Eye for great creative and what makes award-winning work – experience in editorial a plus!
  • Excellent presentation, verbal communication and written skills
  • Highly organised with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude
  • Very attuned to digital, social culture and trends
  • On the pulse of platform innovations and their applications to brands
