About the job

Segment is the world’s leading CDP with over 25,000 customers today, with a focus on customer data infrastructure to power amazing customer experiences—data up versus campaign down. The demand for customer data infrastructure is set to grow +34.6% YoY to $15.6B by 2026. Globally, 93% of companies are expecting to grow their CDP budget over the next 3 years. This presents an amazing opportunity to capture this market opportunity and continue to lead the CDP space.

As a Director of Product at Twilio, you will be responsible for leading by example, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution. You will drive the product vision, roadmap, and team development to create scalable and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on the best strategic direction and market opportunities to tackle first, and liaising between Go-to-market (GTM,) Legal, Security and Marketing.
  • Work directly with an incredibly talented team of senior engineers and product leads to help ship products that help create amazing customer experiences
  • Vision and Roadmap: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with Twilio's business objectives and growth targets.
  • Team Leadership:  Act as both a leader and mentor, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the product team.
  • Execution: Take a hands-on approach to ensure product development stays on track, removing obstacles and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities, stay ahead of competitors, and ensure Twilio’s products remain competitive and cutting-edge.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with key customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and translate these insights into actionable product improvements.
  • Results-Driven: Ensure the team meets its goals by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), adjusting strategy as necessary, and maintaining a relentless focus on delivering value.

Required:

  • 10+ years of product experience with 2+ years of managing Product Managers
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to define and drive a compelling product strategy aligned with Twilio’s goals, ensuring the product meets customer needs and market demands.
  • Product Management: Proven experience in product lifecycle management, including market research, product ideation, development, launch, and iteration.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building, mentoring, and managing high-performance product teams. Ability to inspire and motivate your team to peak performance.
  • Customer Focus: Deep commitment to understanding customer problems and using this insight to drive product decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Exceptional ability to work collaboratively with various teams including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support to deliver high-quality products.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the capability to leverage data to drive decision-making and track key performance metrics.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong technical foundation with the ability to understand complex systems and work closely with engineering teams to solve technical challenges. Experience with highly technical, multi-workstream product launches; distributed systems experience a plus

Desired:

  • Previous experience with CDP
  • Experience in Martech/Adtech domains
  • Experience in developing integrations on Twilio and/or Segment Platforms will be a big plus
Location

This role will be remote,  based in India, Karnataka

Travel
