Director of Product - Social
As Senior Director of Product, you are responsible for the overall vision, direction and product strategy for Social and can rally a team behind that vision to execute. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle – from ideation & market research to design, development and GTM. You will work closely with strategic customers as design partners to vet concepts and direction, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and exec stakeholders from design, engineering, marketing, sales, services, and customer success to ensure exceptional product-market fit (as measured by adoption, sales growth, retention, and NPS). You bring deep customer empathy and have 8+ years of experience as a PM in building enterprise software for social media marketing, SEO or multi-location marketing and another 5+ years managing, scaling, and developing a talented group of PMs to be the next product leaders at Yext.
What You’ll Do
- Define and articulate the product vision and strategy for Yext Social capabilities ensuring alignment with Yext business priorities.
- Lead the Yext social product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, high performance and user-centricity.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer feedback to inform product roadmaps and feature development.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales and customer success teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
- Define OKR for the product line, adjusting strategies and team mix as necessary to achieve growth and retention targets.
- Act as the social product evangelist both internally and externally, including customer advisory boards, AR/PR briefings, customer webinars, product council and growth team meetings
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the social market landscape, emerging technologies and standards.
- Drive product innovation through a culture of rapid iteration, experimentation, lean UX and constant customer feedback cycles.
- Oversee and prioritize product backlogs, rolling 6 months roadmap, and work with engineering counterparts to allocate resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of talented product managers to deliver and iterate on innovation to the market frequently.
What You Have
- BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in a product management, industry specific or computer science role
- 5+ years of experience in leading a team is a plus
- A deep understanding of digital marketing technologies (social media marketing platforms, reputation management, NPS, customer experience platform, campaign orchestration, performance analytics, generative AI)
- Familiarity with modern social media platforms - tiktok, instagram, facebook, X, linkedin, whatsapp, etc.
- Product mindset - inclination and ability to envision a product and then marshal and drive resources to realize that vision
- Flexible, fast learner who thrives in a constantly changing work environment
- Able to generate creative, simple solutions to complex, vague problems
- Ability to quickly understand, reason about, and fluently discuss existing and proposed software systems
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment
- Works well under pressure, solid work ethics
- Effective time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects

The base salary at the time of hire for this position is expected to be between $203,000-$347,500. Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits, and successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
