About the Role

The Head of Professional Services will play a key role in helping our enterprise customers get more value out of their Mixpanel investment and position the company as a key partner for their overall business performance and metrics strategy. The role will work closely with customer senior leadership to guide business outcomes and drive real revenue impact. Internally, the Head of PS will work directly with the Go-to-Market team (Sales, Solution Engineering, Customer Success) to identify and deliver professional services opportunities to our largest customers while partnering with Marketing, Product and Engineering to take lessons learned from the field into our messaging and product strategy. The ideal candidate is seeking ambiguous and consistently changing technical challenges that can be organized into repeatable frameworks and deliverables that drive value for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-Suite, VP, and director-level personas in enterprise accounts, serving as a trusted advisor and thought leader.
  • Work closely with the sales team to support new business opportunities and develop proposals and presentations for customers (including driving paid services revenue).
  • Act as a strategic point of contact for a small portfolio of Enterprise customers and own the strategy and execution plan for key milestones (proof of value, onboarding/time-to-value, long-term retention/growth of the relationship and revenue).
  • Develop supporting tooling, methodologies, and collateral to sell & deliver consistently and repeatedly across the enterprise book.  
  • Identify, recruit, mentor and manage top talent within and beyond Mixpanel to deliver the validated offerings.
  • Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions that align with client requirements and drive value for both parties.
  • Author & deliver thought leadership content (blog posts, white papers, and presentations) with an opinionated point-of-view on industry trends (e.g. data architecture best practices, analytics/metrics strategy, etc) and highlight services engagement impacts.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 8+ years of experience in Management Consulting or Professional Services roles at B2B SaaS companies with a track record of building a practice area and organized offerings.
  • Demonstrated experience of thought leadership, structured deliverables, and long-term customer relationships built on driving meaningful impact.
  • Technical expertise in data and analytics and is familiar with challenges faced by Growth, Product, Marketing and IT leaders.
  • Understanding of customer data platforms and their place within a company’s overall data architecture.
  • Experience running workshops with customer executives both onsite and virtually, providing a compelling reason for those attendees to participate, executive presence to run those meetings and ability to create digestible and aesthetically pleasing deliverables.
  • Willing to work across go-to-market teams with a focus on reusable assets and less pride of ownership on deliverable creation.
  • Technically curious and open to new ways of solving problems with a desire to uplevel others and build a team of varying and complementary skills

Compensation

The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. You can view our benefits offerings here.Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors.
