Databricks is looking for a leader with proven technology industry experience to oversee our global order-to-cash (OTC) function. In this role, you will develop strategy and drive execution of process and automation to support our fast-growing organization and to build for scale. Order to Cash is at the center of our customer-obsessed Finance function and you will mentor and lead the team focused on building an external as well as internal customer service approach. You will report to the Senior Director, OTC, and Revenue and will partner with cross-functional teams including Deal Desk, Commercialization, Sales & Sales Operations, Customer Success, Revenue Assurance & Accounting, IT, FP&A, and others across the company to influence and increase efficiency and scalable execution.
The impact you will have:
- Dedicated leadership for the order-to-cash process, including new contract setup and management of usage-based monthly reporting and accounts receivable functions including billings, credit, and collections, following industry best practices
- Be an expert for internal usage and data flows, billing and collections processes, and external strategic partnerships in support of building an efficient order to cash operation to ensure accurate and complete information for accounting and reporting
- Partner with IT, Engineering, Commercialization, Sales Operations, Product, and Revenue to identify and communicate system requirements related to all order-to-cash processes including ongoing CPQ enhancements, implementation of usage-based billing and revenue recognition solutions, commercialization, and new product introduction life cycle, and other critical orders to cash projects
- Represent Order to Cash to guide important business initiatives focused on addressing complex challenges to increase efficiency and ensure scalability
- Develop a best-in-class team including establishing global operations at scale while executing immediate-term processes and timelines
- Manage accounts receivable aging with a focus on reducing DSO; implement credit review and bad debt collection practices
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively, ensure maintenance of control documentation for order to cash-related processes to ensure SOX compliance, and provide audit support for control and substantive testing
- Create and publish metrics to capture, control, and report Revenue Operations and Accounts Receivable team effectiveness
What we look for:
- 15+ years of experience in order to cash / accounting operations roles including public company software/SaaS experience required
- 6+ years of leadership experience and demonstrated ability to manage teams, guide process improvements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- A customer focus with the ability to help internal stakeholders, articulate their needs, and produce outputs to guide decisions
- A deep understanding of the end-to-end order-to-cash process with the ability and desire to process and solve complex problems while balancing many cross-functional stakeholders
- A leader who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, has experience in creating and executing strategy to scale, and who loves to build processes, people, and operational excellence.
- Experience transforming manual processes either via process optimization or automation initiatives
- Experience with the SDLC life cycle through Accounting ERP system implementations supporting UAT, parallel runs, and cutover management
- Experience recruiting, training, managing, and developing staff
- Working knowledge of sales, CRM, and accounting systems such as Salesforce, Netsuite, and analytical tools such as Excel and Tableau.
- Experience with consumption-based revenue recognition and Databricks Platform desired
Pay Range Transparency

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
