We are on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Site Leader to spearhead the creation and success of our brand-new site in Madrid! As the Site Leader, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, coordination and execution of our new site, ensuring its success and alignment with Payoneer’s goals and strategies.  

This is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of building and shaping a new site from the ground up! You will play a critical role in establishing and growing Payoneer’s presence in the region, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

What you’ll be spending your time on: 

Site Establishment:  

  • Lead the setup and launch of our new site in Madrid, ensuring it adheres to all Payoneer's operational standards, company culture, and regulations. 
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution and alignment with Payoneer’s site set up objectives and strategy.  
  • Serve as a Liaison between Payoneer’s global departments, local service providers and employees. 
  • Foster a sense of community and belonging within the new team. 
  • Provide regular updates and status reports to senior management on the progress and milestones achieved throughout the site launch process. 
  • Develop and implement an infrastructure plan to support future growth and scalability of the Madrid site. 

Brand awareness:  

  • Play a key role in building Payoneer's brand awareness and recognition within the Madrid market. 
  • Establish strong relationships within the Madrid FinTech ecosystem by attending industry conferences, meetups, and networking events. 

Hiring:  

  • Work with Payoneer's talent acquisition team to  attract and hire the best talent in the market.  
  • Work with local universities, career fairs and media to create a strong employer brand in the region. 

Office:  

  • Work with Payoneer’s team to identify and secure suitable office space that aligns with Payoneer's needs and lead any future office expansions 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 
  • Proven experience as a site set up lead/site general manager or similar roles, preferably in the technology industry. 
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in project management, operations, or business development, preferably in international expansions or site launches. 
  • Strong understanding of the Madrid market dynamics, regulatory environment, talent acquisition and business practices. 
  • Excellent communicator both in English (verbal and written) and Spanish (additional languages a plus). 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving results and achieving business objectives. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
