About the role

The Director, Technical Operations and Onboarding will lead the Technical Operations team within Content Operations. Reporting to the VP Content Operations & Localization, you will manage spec management and client/vendor onboarding and build programs required to achieve a high-quality fan experience on Crunchyroll. You will assist the entire Content Operations and Localization team by providing your media workflows expertise on special projects and digital supply chain best practices.

  • You will create and manage the distribution of technical specifications for media assets
  • You will oversee the onboarding of third-party vendors delivering content to Crunchyroll
  • You will manage remediation - monitor all tickets assigned by customer service and oversee the documentation of corrective actions, associated operational initiatives and post mortems
  • You will oversee Content Operations process documentation and provide recommendations for improvement to process owners (team leads)
  • You will design and implement infrastructure necessary to globally distribute media packages at scale
  • You will serve as subject matter expert working technology teams developing systems that support the media operations associated with our digital supply chain
  • You will manage special projects and change management initiatives across Content Operations

About You

  • You have SDVI and Vantage workflow familiarity
  • You have thorough knowledge of media standards, resolutions and codecs

  • You can create detailed workflow and specifications documentation

About the Team

Content Operations is the media asset management core of Crunchyroll. We work with our content partners to receive media, perform necessary QC/transcoding and deliver to our platform, internal clients, localization and 3rd party clients. Content Operations ensures titles launch on Crunchyroll on time and with highest possible quality.
