Job Description

Huge is looking for a Director of Technology Strategy for our Technology Strategy practice. You will help and grow Huge’s technology strategy craft and develop a point of view on how technology will enable and support Huge’s Technology Realization, Experience Transformation and Growth Gateways  - from platform strategies for apps and websites to emerging technologies and partners - and help lead our most important projects online, in-stores, and everywhere in between.

The Technology Strategy practice at Huge is rapidly expanding, and is one of our most important strategic initiatives - this role is an opportunity to get in at the ground floor.

You will have the opportunity to work with our most exciting global clients.  This is a highly visible role, with a focus on exploring new technologies and partners, working as a trusted advisor with clients and internal teams defining complex technology strategies, and guiding delivery teams who are defining the future of digital transformation. This role will also have opportunities for public speaking, thought leadership, productizing new services and offerings, and partnering directly with client executives, and regional Huge leadership.

This role requires you to have strong perspectives on technology's role in driving business outcomes, as well as the current MarTech landscape, an understanding of emerging and historical technology patterns, strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and experience in a wide variety of implementation scenarios. Above all, this role requires a systems-thinker, someone who holistically understands the importance of a technology strategy that marries to business strategy.

What you'll be doing.

  • Serve as a Director for Huge’s Technology Strategy practice, take ownership of Huge’s Technology products and client delivery, including developing and owning a perspective on modern architectures and the technology landscape. Responsibilities include, participating in business development, client delivery on strategy engagements, public speaking opportunities, and developing relationships with clients.
  • Leading strategic client work, ranging from defining platform (technology and architecture; front and back-end) strategies, to overseeing evaluations, to solutioning and delivery planning at a deeper level (defining solutions architectures and roadmaps for specific clients or specific products).
  • Work internally and externally to stay abreast of new developments in digital transformation strategy and digital marketing, including new platforms/technologies, interacting with partners, and the latest thinking on modern customer experiences. Regularly keeping your skills sharp via exploratory coding to test new patterns or approaches, validate various solutions, and potentially develop Huge-owned digital products.
  • Serving as an advisor, SME, or in some cases, as the lead architect for a delivery team for complex product & platform work in Technology Strategy.
  • Develop relationships across the Huge global network, influencing teams, supporting existing account needs, and reinforcing strong ties between the Technology Strategy team and other Huge crafts and practices globally.
  • Support the definition and execution of Huge’s strategy for delivering end-to-end Technology Strategy engagements, client implementation work, and identifying new areas of opportunity on client engagements.
  • Participate in account pursuits and lead the Technology Strategy outcomes and deliverables.    
  • Regularly partner with cross-functional Huge teams - including visual and experience design, product management, user research, product, analytics, SEO, and project management - in the creation of concepts and experiences that align to the vision for a client.
  • Mentor and manage internal Huge teams, increasing our literacy in digital transformation technology and technology consulting. 

What we’d like to see.

  • 7+ years of experience in technology consulting and enterprise architecture, including delivering technology strategies to senior executives and participating or leading complex implementations. 
  • A proven track record of thinking (defining strategies and perspectives, exploring new territories in technology), doing (delivering complex digital software products), and growing (mentoring and building cross-functional teams).
  • A strong understanding of the current MarTech technology platform landscape, emerging technologies in the commerce space, and common solution architectures (ranging from headless or “MACH” based to more monolithic patterns).
  • Broad exposure to large (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, Oracle Commerce Cloud), mid-market (Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento), and modern or more emergent (commercetools, elasticpath, VTEX, Fabric) solutions.
  • Experience in researching and exploring new solutions, developing relationships with platforms, and directing the work of others.
  • Experience with complex front-end architectures, Customer Strategies (1st party data, CRM/Loyalty, Personalization and API-based integration is a plus.
  • The ability to estimate work and staffing, and strategize to satisfy client budgetary requirements.
