About the job

This position is needed to take ownership of the Workday Platform including defining the WD roadmap to support strategic initiatives and maximize platform ROI, defining technical/development standards and SLAs, legal and privacy compliance and the overall platform experience. This role would unite the existing WD Dev & Support teams, and WD configuration team. to ensure a cohesive experience for stakeholder requests while driving positive and reliable user experiences. Most importantly, take an ownership view of the WD Product and have a proactive approach to improving, scaling and optimizing the product. A cohesive/integrated approach to WD services ensures that stakeholder requests are handled strategically and are set on business outcomes. 

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Workday Platform Leadership: Unify ownership of the Workday platform defining the roadmap to support strategic initiatives, technical/development standards, SLAs, legal and privacy compliance and overall platform experience.   This includes developing and maintaining a roadmap of new functionality and continuous improvement of our Workday portfolio (HCM, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking, US Payroll, US Benefits, Prism, Talent Marketplace, Journeys).
  • Process Optimization and Project Management: Analyze existing processes, conduct benchmark analysis and understand best practices to identify and design opportunities to improve, scale and optimize the platform. Implement solutions that enhance the user experience, driving positive and reliable interactions.Serve as internal HRT project manager on key projects to ensure delivery meets team and platform SLAs and compliance. Lead testing efforts to ensure WD functionality is deployed meeting business outcomes and success measures.
  • Team Management and Leadership: Lead and mentor WD teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, and aligning skills with organizational needs.  Build team objectives (OKRs) and implement strategies to enhance team productivity. Effectively manage and allocate team resources to ensure balance between strategic projects and innovation and run-the-business work, meeting stakeholder expectations.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize projects, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and milestones. Act as the liaison between our COEs and internal HRT team members, facilitating effective communication and alignment.

Required:

  • 8+ years relevant work experience leading and optimizing Workday  with hands-on expertise of Workday HCM, Talent, Advanced Compensation.  Intimate knowledge of Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll and/or Journeys preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading large, complex and cross-functional projects while flexing between run-the business operations and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional collaboration, listening, and presentation skills to build trust with stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.

Desired:

  • Workday Pro certification desired 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot based on business needs.

 

Location  

This role will be remote but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.Approximately 15% travel is anticipated.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $160,080.00-$200,100.00
  • Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $169,520.00-$211,900
  • This role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave. 

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
