Director/Vice President - Loan Accounting & Finance

Position Overview
This role will oversee the day-to-day work of the StepStone fund accounting team related to US Private debt funds. It will also include the review of the loan and fund administrators for these funds. The role will be directly responsible for the monthly close process and the loan portfolio accounting for all US private debt funds.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Review daily position and cash reconciliations prepared by Administrator
- Prepare position and cash reconciliations for internal system and monitor and review consultants as they prepare.
- Review of internal transaction booking by consultants and fund accounting teams
- Review and help maintain additional loan security data in required for valuations as it is received
- Assist with updating quarterly portfolio company reporting
- Work with valuation specialists to run the valuation engine each week as data is received and load prices
- Review and test administrator contract data and interest accruals daily
- Support all position data to notices
- Support contract data to notices
- SALT tax accrual calculations
- Analytic review of amort and interest
- Review of significant loan modifications for tax gain loss
- Sarbanes Oxley documentation support
- Assist in preparing valuation committee materials
- Work with 3rd party valuation firms to complete reports
- Create draft RIC compliance files
- Calculate draft dividend amounts and review by investors
- Prepare QII calculations and withholding estimates
- Review Administrator/TA statements for investors
- Subscriptions/Redemptions reconciliation to statements and cash
- DRIP and Tender calculations
- Prepare monthly 8ks
- Review 10Q/Ks
- Assist in board reporting package preparation

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Must have experience in accounting for funds with a credit strategy.
- Four-year college degree
- Minimum of five years of experience as an accountant, public accountant, fund administrator, or auditor.
- Ideal candidates have experience with SEC registered credit vehicles like BDCs
Salary Range - $140,000.00 - $200,000.00
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
