As the Distribution Hub Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our logistics and distribution operation, ensuring the efficient and effective management of the final stage of our delivery process. With a fleet based at Nuneaton comprising 20 to 30 vehicles and around 18 to 24 routes going out daily, your responsibilities are critical for our success. 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the end-to-end process from meal kit box presentation to van loading, ensuring efficiency and accuracy at every step.
  • Vehicle and Fleet Management: Manage vehicle logistics, including maintenance schedules and providers, to ensure all delivery vehicles are operational and meet legal safety standards.
  • Driver Resourcing: Coordinate the resourcing of drivers, including employed and agency drivers from multiple companies, ensuring adequate staffing levels for seamless delivery operations.
  • Human Resources: Address HR-related issues within the team, fostering a culture of engagement, togetherness and professional growth.
  • Delivery Accuracy: Monitor and improve delivery accuracy, ensuring customer satisfaction with every delivery.
  • Supervisory Leadership: Directly manage 4 supervisors across 2 shifts, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Innovation Collaboration: Work closely with our London-based 3PL and Logistics Development teams to drive innovation in final mile delivery, enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience in logistics or distribution management, preferably within the meal-kit or FMCG sector.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing diverse teams, including shift workers and agency staff.
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, fleet management, and driver resourcing.
  • Proficient in using IT systems relevant to logistics and delivery operations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to logistics and transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in line with operational demands.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage costs and develop business cases.
  • Experience in handling customer complaints, insurance issues, and accident management.
  • A demonstrable track record of reducing errors in an operational environment

Location: The Beehive, Bermuda Industrial Estate, 1 St Georges Way, Nuneaton, CV10 7JS

Work Schedule:  Sunday - Thursday shift pattern, 9am - 6pm
