Driver Specialist, Driver Community

Lyft is looking for a dynamic, talented Driver Specialist, Driver Community to serve as the face of Lyft to the driver community in their region. Driver Specialists will connect with drivers in-person and virtually, enhance Lyft’s ability to maintain consistent two-way communication, and create opportunities to recognize drivers. Creating a feeling of community and sense of belonging for Lyft drivers is essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities- Enhance the human connection between Lyft and the Driver Community in a region
- Develop and manage engagement with local Lyft Driver Communities, including the Driver Advisory Council, in-person and virtual roundtable discussions and town halls.
- Collaborate in developing and executing on a driver recognition strategy that includes market level appreciation events, executive meet ups, milestone outreach, etc.
- Work cross-functionally across the Lyft organization to ensure the needs of drivers are met and their recommendations are heard.
- Collaborate with the Integrated Partner Experience driver team to build a suite of partnerships curated to benefit the Driver Community.
- Build a database of powerful driver stories to showcase how drivers engage with the Lyft platform.
- Create avenues outside of Lyft’s standard growth channels to recruit and retain drivers, enabling opportunities for economic mobility.
- Develop an immersion experience for Lyft team members to deepen Lyft’s empathy and understanding for the driver experience enabling better product ideation.
- Must be based in the New York City metro area and familiar with it’s unique rideshare environment
- Rideshare driving experience is required and current Lyft drivers are strongly preferred.
- Passionate commitment to the Lyft community and culturally competent.
- Charismatic in-person presence and public speaking ability, must be able to communicate fluently in the language predominantly spoken by drivers in the region
- Impeccable event organization skills.
- 2+ years experience organizing at a community level: organizer/regional specialist, digital strategist, public engagement professional or other similar work (preferably at the city and state level).
- Must be willing to travel
- Knowledge of best-in-class organizing strategy and tactics.
- Strong understanding of digital organizing and social media engagement.

The expected base pay range for this position in the New York City area is $77,000-$96,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
