About Harry’s

Harry’s Inc. started in 2013 with a specific goal: disrupt the shaving industry by creating an innovative, everyday product at a fair price. Since then, Harry’s has expanded to Canada and Europe, developed relationships with retailers such as Target and Walmart, expanded our grooming brand into a personal care powerhouse, launched two new brands including Flamingo and Cat Person, and made our first brand acquisition with Lumē.

The key to our success? Our amazing people. From chemists, mechanical engineers, CX associates, to creative directors, sourcing managers, and logistics specialists, the Harry’s team is composed of some of the most brilliant, diverse, and humble people you’ll ever meet.

Our brands answer unmet consumer needs, but our company is a place of inclusion and innovation that attracts some of the brightest minds across industries, geographies, and backgrounds. Whether we have a team of 5 or 500, our core values and our startup mentality remain; we value continuous improvement and learning, teamwork and collaboration, creative problem solving, and open and direct dialogue and feedback.

Harry’s is operating as a hybrid-first environment - for us, that means that we ask folks to come into our beautiful, 70,000 square foot SoHo office a minimum of 2 days per week, with flexibility to choose exactly which days work best for you.  What will you get out of that?  Bagels on Wednesdays and lunch on Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday.  Can’t forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom (remember what 2019 was like?)

About the Team

The Office of the CEO is a small but mighty team that ensures everything and everyone at Harry’s, Inc is running efficiently and thriving. The team is responsible for day-to-day operations and communications across the company. The team partners closely with senior leaders and employees in each of our three offices (NYC, London, and Germany). Because Andy, our CEO, interacts with almost everyone at Harry’s, so, too, does his team -- in many ways this team is the face of Harry’s, constantly interacting with all of our most important internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

The Executive Assistant to the CEO will serve as an essential partner to Andy (our founder and CEO) and Andy’s Chief of Staff. This highly organized and endlessly resourceful person will support the CEO and his CoS in day-to-day administrative and operational needs, contributing to projects and managing meetings at the executive level. The role is one that doesn’t neatly fit within the confines of the 9 - 6 day, so we’re looking for a go-getter who’s eager to be flexible and available, even outside traditional working hours. Andy splits time between NYC and LA, and his executive team is based in NYC, so we are looking for someone who is willing to go above and beyond to build relationships with both Andy and his team. This means an openness to traveling to LA on occasion (<10% of the time). Because the role (and our team!) is so dynamic, this person must possess strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions.

What you will accomplish:

  • Anticipate needs, look around corners, and provide the highest caliber of administrative support on: day-to-day scheduling, meeting logistics, travel itineraries, expense reports, and personal appointments and errands, executive searches and BOD governance support
  • Ensure Andy is prepared for professional meetings and personal and professional events by soliciting agendas, creating itineraries, making reservations, printing material, and doing whatever it takes to ensure effective preparation
  • For key meetings that the CEO leads and/or attends work closely with the CEO’s Chief of Staff to: manage meeting agendas, ensure effective preparation (pre-reads, technology functioning, etc.), take notes, and drive follow ups and next steps
  • For special projects that the CEO sponsors (e.g. annual Global Leadership offsite), or processes and communications that the CEO owns (e.g. our monthly all-hands meeting) work closely with the CEO’s Chief of Staff to manage project logistics, ensuring project remains on track and key stakeholders are up-to-speed
  • Interact regularly and build relationships with executives and colleagues across various teams, with Andy’s family and close personal network, and with external stakeholders like investors, consultant, and Board members.
  • Serve as a positive ambassador on behalf of Harry’s, Inc by consistently acting in a way that leaves people with a positive perception of the company while truly embodying our values.

This should describe you:

  • You have 2-5 years of professional experience
  • You’re exceptionally detail oriented: You are a perfectionist who never lets anything fall through the cracks. You close every loop, spot every error, and look around corners to make sure every detail is perfect.
  • You’re proactive: Some might call it pushy, but we just think you’re proactive. You’re always three steps ahead, and know how to manage senior executives to help them avoid potential pitfalls.
  • You possess foresight: If you had a superpower, it would be the ability to see (and plan) around corners. You know there’s a problem – and you know how to fix it – before anyone else.
  • You are a creative problem solver: There’s no sticky situation that you can’t wiggle your way out of, and you always come to the table with solutions.
  • You’re a great communicator: You can communicate nuance effectively to anyone, and you know how to modify your tone based on who you’re speaking to. Whether it’s in an email, over the phone, or in person, you know how to get things done through your ability to clearly and professionally express yourself.
  • You’re hardworking: You are endlessly reliable, trustworthy, and consistent in your ability to produce the highest quality work, even outside the confines of a 9-6 job. Everyone counts on you all the time, and you always come through. Whether it’s coordinating an apartment move, or greeting our most important investors, you’re down for anything, big or small.
  • You exercise good judgment: You’re trustworthy and exercise good judgment with the most confidential and sensitive information. You know how to tactfully navigate requests for information that may not be best shared; you help to put out, rather than flame, rumors and gossip
  • You’re a people person: you’re curious about people, energized by forming relationships, getting to know people, and working with and through them.

Here's who you'll work with:

  • You will report into Andy’s Chief of Staff
  • You’ll work on the Harry’s Inc. Executive team, in close partnership with stakeholders from across the company in NYC, London, and Germany
