Embedded Finance is the cornerstone to Toast’s Financial Products, helping customers budget, save and make their capital work for them. The Embedded Finance operations team has been critical in enabling the success of this program. Reporting to the Embedded Finance Operations Manager, the Embedded Finance Specialist I will contribute to day-to-day financial product operations while consistently demonstrating thorough and detailed communication with cross-functional internal teams, customers, and external partners. This role is responsible for validating account application information, assisting with customer inquiries, and supporting our customers as they onboard to Toast’s Embedded Finance products. They will leverage best practices, data analysis, and subject matter expertise to ensure the customer experience is smooth. Our goal is to continuously increase adoption of our financial solutions to allow customers to keep meet financial goals and thrive, and this role provides the opportunity to make an impact on the growth of this program and Toast's long-term success.
About this role *:
- Undertake various transaction processing activities in accordance with internal procedures and SLAs
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, consistently references and follows process steps as outlined, and double-checks the accuracy of information and inputs in order to minimize processing errors
- Address issues, concerns, and inquiries related to potential or outstanding applications and transactions in a consistently customer-centric way
- Leverage data sets to track attach rate, application activity and required customer communications
- Liaise with internal Toast partners such as Risk, Business Operations, Sales, and the Product Team to resolve customer and transaction related issues
- Participate in some process improvement initiatives in collaboration with Embedded Finance leadership
Do you have the right ingredients*?
- 1-4 years of professional experience, preferably in financial servicing or operations in the financial services sector
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to answer customer questions and concerns in a professional and clear manner
- Ability to follow documented procedures and a strong attention to detail
- Highly organized, self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable; ability to problem solve through proactively collaborating with internal colleagues
- Customer-service mindset: energized by helping others and seeing questions or problems through to resolution in a timely manner
- Familiarity using Salesforce and Google Suite to complete day-to-day tasks
