The Executive Briefing Center (EBC) is an integral part of our Marketing and Sales organizations. It allows customers to learn more about Pure Storage and its product offerings. We host the leadership of our most valued prospects, customers, and partners to understand their strategic priorities. We collaborate in developing the briefing experience, focusing on meaningful conversations and strengthening relationships. Our Executive Briefings occur virtually and/or in person in Santa Clara and other remote locations globally.
As Executive Engagement Manager, you will be the guiding force behind Pure’s EBC engagement strategy. You will collaborate closely with executives, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to drive strategic alignment, foster meaningful relationships, and enhance internal and external communications. With a customer-first and results-driven attitude, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. You will also take the lead in managing the EBC on the Road series to ensure that customers, prospects, and partners who participate in a customized briefing in their local area will have an extraordinary experience that ultimately leads them to make a positive decision for our company. The primary objective of this role is to connect the dots between customer care holistically and our overall company messaging, as seen through executive briefings.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Executive Engagement (Sponsorship) Program and EBC Strategic Account Program, focused on our most highly targeted customers, working to identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, sales teams, and customers to ensure seamless coordination and successful outcomes, serving as the liaison between all parties
- Oversee all aspects of executive engagement, including agenda development, content creation, logistics coordination, venue sourcing, customer gift inventory and post-event follow-up. This includes external EBC on the Road Programs, working closely with Field Marketing and Sales.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling presentations and materials tailored to the needs of executive audiences
- Create differentiated exec engagement motions for Deal Sponsorship & Executive Sponsorship that drive the business forward by engaging & influencing more senior executive contacts & stakeholders in both key deals & high value, strategic customers;
- This includes enablement for the field, exec team & creation of templated materials to support preparation & execution of meetings & engagements
- Maintain and develop process & operational rigor for the field to request exec engagement while creating systems to help prioritize requests for our leaders and measuring their impact.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, technology integration and best practices to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of all of the programs.
- Generate regular reports and metrics to track the success of executive engagements, gather feedback and make data-driven recommendations for improvements, keeping in constant communication with key stakeholders and partnering with them to drive the direction of the EBC programs.
- Provide budget coordination, including the planning and tracking of purchase order issue, invoice approvals, actual vs. planned spend, and forecast updates, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
- Additional related project management, as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Detail-oriented, with a proven ability to drive executive engagement, event management, or related projects to completion
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, always-changing environment with the ability to deal with last-minute changes and deadlines while showing grace under pressure
- SFDC, Google Suite, Webex, and Zoom, BriefingSource experience
- Experienced with MS Excel/PowerPoint/Doc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organization skills and able to juggle many tasks without losing sight of top priorities
- High level of professionalism, integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a global organization across multiple time zones
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
- Previous customer or executive-facing experience is a plus
- Flexible to travel when job requires
You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
The annual base salary range is: $108,000.00 – $163,000.00. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
