Job description Accounting Manager - EM4

 

Job duties

  • Review customer contracts to ensure consistent application of revenue recognition policies in accordance with US GAAP. Determine the appropriate accounting treatment and document conclusions
  • Partner with Contract Administrator, Legal, FP&A and Operations during contract negotiations and provide recommendations from the revenue recognition standpoint
  • Prepare revenue calculations for NRE services and product revenue
  • Assist with month-end close deliverables and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses
  • Lead and manage development, maintenance, documentation and implementation of internal controls and provide coaching on SOX-related documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of technical accounting memos
  • Assist with audit requests and interface with the Company’s internal and external auditors
  • Manage system automation and system implementation projects
  • Assist with or lead ad-hoc reporting requests and projects as needed.

 

What We're Looking For

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Big 4 experience required and an active CPA preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Detailed knowledge of ASC 606 and relevant current accounting rules relating to NRE services and product revenue recognition, experience in analyzing customer contracts and review of ASC 606 checklists
  • Experience with DCAA/government project accounting is preferred
  • Understanding of Order to cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), Design to build business processes
  • Understanding of gross margin, COGS components, inventory and production accounting is preferred
  • Experience with the development and implementation of internal controls for SOX 404 compliance
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized individual with the ability to manage multiple assignments and work with tight deadlines
  • Ability to expand job responsibilities, suggest improvements, and collaborate with others to generate ideas for improved processes
  • Self-driven, high initiative individual, and a strong team player with upbeat positive and flexible attitude

 

 

At EM4, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays a base between $110,000.00and $150,000.00* per year. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
