About the roleIn the role of EMEA Communications & PR Manager, you will report to the Senior Communications Manager - EMEA. We are considering applicants for the location of London, UK.
Alongside Senior Communications Manager and global Communications leadership, write all materials, including publicity strategies, press releases, alerts, highlights, limited internal communications, talking points, pitches, etc.
- Liaise and pitch media -- including consumer, trade/business, genre/anime.
- Daily management of international PR agencies to coordinate publicity across Theatrical, Events and Licencing/e-commerce....
- Work with the Global Communication team on IP launches including press announcements, press junkets, Premieres, events, exclusives, talent interviews and always sync' with the Theatrical Distribution and Marketing and Event teams.
- Work on all country and territory launches across Europe and be familiar with any crisis communications, market-specific situations and/or regulatory issues.
- Work with Events team on external event execution; attend Europe-based events to handle press executions, media availability etc.
- Produce and present select presentations and strategies.
- Helped by the PR Coordinator, monitor and collect press coverage and funnel to the Global team.
Core Areas of Responsibility
Communications:
- Implement the EMEA PR strategy for the theatrical, conventions, festivals, awards (Crunchyroll Anime Awards, Cannes Film Festival, Annecy Animation Festival) and merchandising
- Identify key messagesto maximise the visibility of content, in agreement with the marketing department
- Manage relations with PR agencies and target journalists
- Draw up an editorial calendar for press releases, press packs, advertorials and interviews for these areas of activity with agencies
- Coordinate the production and translation of press releases and press kits for new content launches (films, merchandising and events)
- Design and challenge communication planstogether with PR agencies, to meet different media needs, countries and goals
- Work with the marketing Theatrical, Events and social media teams to ensure overall consistency in the distribution of press content
Press Events:
- Initiate press screenings, interviews and other events linked to theatrical releases in the countries concerned
- Oversee the logistical organisation of EMEA actions and events with the PR agencies
- Coordinate exchanges with distributors (SPE) and brand managers for communication and enquiries about licences and new products
- Develop editorial partnerships with specialist media (theatrical)
- Oversee the management of press enquiries and ensure a rapid response
- Work with the EMEA marketing teams to maximise the impact of communication campaigns
Monitoring:
- Monitor EMEA press coverage and analyse its impact
- Propose strategic adjustments toimprove the impact of PR actions
- Monitor PR campaign performance indicators
- Take part in governance bodies to inform communications and marketing teams about editorial content and its impact on target audiences
Internal:
- Monitor the tasks allocated to the support resource in the activities related to the areas within its scope
- Refer all actions to the Global Communication Team based in the US, to always be globally aligned and locally relevant

Required:
- 5 + years of experience in the Entertainment & Theatrical Industry
The PR Team at Crunchyroll is tiny with very experienced members, to more junior ones, but all very dedicated and passionate. Our job is quite central, as we are aware of all what happens in all the different departments and as such in capacity to give visibility to co-workers on what the others are doing.
As part of the EMEA Comms team, you'll help shape and execute theatrical and event strategies to help Crunchyroll and our IPs to gain in visibility and fulfill the journalists growing needs.
