About the role:

The position is for an Endpoint Specialist within the Endpoint team at Pure Storage. This team is tasked with the management, support, and enhancement of the end-user experience across all endpoints, including Macs, Windows, and Linux systems. The ideal candidate for this role is expected to quickly familiarize themselves with the Endpoint environment and contribute effectively in a short period. This position reports directly to the IT Endpoint Manager.

Responsibilities:

Endpoint Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of endpoint devices, including desktops, virtual desktop, laptops, and mobile devices.

EndPoint Security: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect endpoint devices from threats such as malware, viruses, and unauthorized access.

Application  Management: Manage software installations, updates, and patches on endpoint devices to ensure they are running the latest and most secure versions.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to endpoint devices, providing timely support to end-users.

Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor endpoint performance and security, generating reports and metrics to track the health and status of endpoint devices.

Compliance: Ensure endpoint devices comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including network, security, and helpdesk, to ensure seamless integration and support for endpoint devices.

Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of endpoint configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Training: Provide training and support to end-users on the proper use and maintenance of endpoint devices.

Qualifications:

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience: Proven experience in endpoint management, IT support, or a similar role.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in endpoint management tools (e.g Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCCM, JAMF or Vmware WorkSpace 1), operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.

Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of endpoint security best practices and technologies.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Apple Certified Support Professional) are a plus.
