HelloFresh has expanded rapidly as a technology organization. As part of scaling as an engineering team, we’ve created a Foundations Alliance to be responsible for unleashing developer productivity across the company. We do so by building the tools, services, systems, and infrastructure that teams across the company (and in turn, HelloFresh customers) use on a daily basis. We are building platforms (cloud, mobile, design systems) for engineers to be able to quickly innovate while providing operational safety, security, and best practices out of the box.

• As an Engineering Manager in one of the squads in the AppFoundation Tribe, you will be leading a team of Mobile and Frontend engineers to deliver tools and architecture guidelines to enable developers to create and manage the world class Mobile and Web application for our customers. 
• You will have an opportunity to create an impact for the entire organization and support our digital product experience, to change the way people eat forever.

• You will be a hands-on Engineering Manager and manage a cross-functional team of talented engineers.
• You will be responsible for making your team effective. Making sure that there is visibility to the roadmap and is actively prioritized, quality standards are continuously improved, and best practices are followed.
• Enable quick and accurate decision making within the team by facilitating discussions, as well as driving the team to be more autonomous and self-sufficient.
• You will coach, mentor, and further grow and develop engineers on your team.
• As the manager of the team, you are expected to provide valuable and timely feedback to your team, as well as conduct regular performance reviews.
• You will be working closely with the stakeholders on topics such as hiring and capacity planning.

• You are an experienced software engineer who can still contribute to the code, but also maintains an awareness of the bigger picture.
• You have experience managing a team in an agile environment (6-8 Engineers), with exceptional planning and execution skills.
• You have a great understanding and working knowledge of building scalable Mobile and Web applications. 
• You have a good understanding of the Cross platform development for Mobile and Web applications. 
• You have the ability to communicate clearly, listen and show empathy
• You are a self-organised individual, with focus and ability to prioritise your workload using business data and metrics.
• You can use creativity to solve complex problems
• You are a humble leader, who is able to motivate a team and drive them to their full potential.
