Role Description

Dropbox is growing and we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Identity - Auth Platform team. In this role, you'll lead a team of 8 - 10 engineers, working closely with your direct reports, product managers, and other engineering teams to build the future of Identity workflows and Auth Platform. Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for growing and developing an incredible team of hardworking and motivated engineers with high expectations around individual ownership and impact
  • You will develop a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies Dropbox's values.
  • You will ensure your team delivers extraordinary output, and continuously seeks ways to make an outsized impact
  • You will set direction for the team, anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges via thoughtful long-term planning
  • You will help craft technical and platform strategy for Identity and Auth at Dropbox
Requirements
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience with an engineering team
  • Experience as a software developer

Many teams at Dropbox run Services with on-call rotations, which entails being available for calls during both core and non-core business hours. If a team has an on-call rotation, all engineers on the team are expected to participate in the rotation as part of their employment. Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $210,800 - $248,000 - $285,200.• US Zone 2: $189,700 - $223,200 - $256,700.• US Zone 3: $168,600 - $198,400 - $228,200. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.
