The Team:

The Engineering People and Budget Operations team is part of our global Engineering organisation. For us, the operational excellence of all people & budget programs play a key role in our day-to-day and we focus on boosting efficiency and acting as a business partner for our engineers and building the bridge to our stakeholders in Product, HR, L&D, IT, Finance, Procurement and other corporate functions.

The Role:

As an Engineering Operations Program Manager, you'll not only implement but also support the creation of people-related activities, processes and policies for the Engineering organisation. You play a pivotal role in fostering strong connections with the Engineering department and collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders from various departments.In our dynamic environment, your daily activities will be exceptionally varied, providing you with opportunities to engage in relevant business-related personnel aspects and contribute to diverse projects aimed at enhancing the employee life cycle and the whole organisation. 

The work you’ll do:

  • Assist in the creation and implementation for employee development initiatives (such as: career path development, recognition programs, etc.)
  • Organise events and initiatives for a small or large scale for teams or the whole organisation remote or in-office
  • Support seamless communication across the whole department and stakeholders to facilitate a clear and frictionless understanding for everyone involved
  • Analyse internal processes to identify gaps (time-consuming tasks, inefficiencies, manual work, broken processes and interfaces) and propose scalable solutions
  • Design and implement strategic people programs aligned with organisational goals and objectives
  • Continuously collect feedback from all necessary stakeholders (Engineering Leaders, Product leaders, New Joiners, HR and other members of the organization), to adapt and improve the frameworks and processes you own
  • Support full project management cycle, including documentation, tracking, analytics and reporting
  • Develop end-to-end delivery schedules, track key milestones, and create contingency plans for high-risk deliverables; coordinate the project delivery and own the project management and communication

The qualifications you need:

  • 3-8 years experience in people operations, preferably at a high-growth tech company / start-up
  • Degree in Business Administration or a technical field oriented on processes and analytics (e.g. Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering Management, Enterprise Administration etc.) or a comparable education
  • Experience in project/ program management on a bigger scale
  • Passionate about people and how they function together to create a valuable organisation 
  • Proactive and ownership-oriented mindset
  • A true problem solver with the ability to multitask with attention to details
  • Great analytical, data driven, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience with G Suite, Confluence, Workday or similar tools and softwares
