SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

Reporting to the Sr. Director Enterprise Growth, the Director, Enterprise Technology Strategy, Enterprise Line of Business (LoB).

 

This role will be part of the Enterprise LoB headquarters organization but will be embedded in the Enterprise Sales Organization as a key technical strategist for the region.

 

Utilizing your breadth of technical knowledge and deep industry experience you will land new enterprise growth initiatives, guide our most strategic enterprise customers in making well informed technology decisions, and create a tight feedback loop between headquarters and field teams to address the top technical issues. A strong creative thinker, you will help guide account teams in developing compelling account strategies while discovering new and differentiated areas of value for Pure products within our enterprise accounts.  A born champion, you will use your relationship and influencing skills to drive product features, integrations, asset and tool development in order to increase Pure’s relevance and success within our enterprise accounts. 

 

You will utilize your problem solving skills to help develop tools and processes in order to effect positive change and growth for Pure’s approach to enterprise selling.  You will lead by influence a cross functional team including account teams, marketing, enablement and product teams with an ‘Enterprise first’ mentality, enabling Pure to become the market leader in enterprise data storage.

 

This is a highly visible, strategic role that will work across the entire Pure field enterprise organization and will be a trusted advisor to field sales and pre-sales leadership, acting as their technical bridge to the Enterprise LoB headquarters organization. The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator and collaborator with top tier execution skills. A demonstrated history of working successfully cross-functionally, influencing across all levels of an organization is a must. You will be partnered with a business development director in the America region and work collaboratively as a team to drive the business forward.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross-functional teams across the Enterprise Line of Business Pure Business Group, marketing, sales, channels and operations to achieve the growth objectives of the enterprise business
  • Be accountable for successful execution of the enterprise business plan and achievement of sales targets
  • Deeply understand the enterprise customer and Pure’s value, being a conduit between the customer and Pure to drive technical value and requirements
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to land technical enablement content and delivery with a focus on Pure’s direct Enterprise sales and indirect channel sales teams
  • Be a technical champion for the region to drive new solution offerings, sales motions, and sales behaviors that are key to transforming our enterprise sales team and our growth trajectory
  • Collaborate with and guide the Field Technical Organization, but specifically the SPP, FCTO, SE leadership, Global Solutions and Strategy (PTs and FSAs) and leverage the SE ‘Field Sensing’ process to capture product and market shifts into the Line of Business Growth PM organization
  • In partnership with the SPP and field specialist team, communicate theater customer requirements and provide input to the corporate Business Unit on product enhancements and future product + business model direction
  • Assist with the development of regional market/competitive intelligence, acting as our thought leader and expert
  • Actively participate in Pure’s local technical user community and drive end user community engagement in partnership with sales and marketing teams
  • Evangelize Pure’s message and core differentiation at conferences, analyst briefings, and customer events

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • 10+ years Sales Engineering, Product Management and/or Program Management experience
  • Strategic account solution selling experience at the CxO level is highly desirable
  • Deep and extensive technical experience with enterprise class storage across multiple protocols, platforms, applications and use cases.
  • Possess a blend of business and technical savvy that includes the ability to build and drive impact with teams across multiple disciplines, especially field teams
  • Cross-functional team management and organizational skills, influence without authority, including senior management
  • Direct experience driving successful theater wide field marketing and sales programs is highly desired
  • Ability to influence product roadmaps and feature prioritization collaborating with business groups and engineering teams
  • High bias for action and execution with strong drive to achieve
  • Demonstrated ability to have conceived and executed multiple, extremely complex projects
  • Possesses excellent written/verbal communication; can communicate concisely and persuasively
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree or equivalent experience is required

 

The annual base salary range is: $187,000– $332,000. 

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
