📍London | 💰 ÂŁ50,000 - 70,000 (Dependent on experience)  + Benefits | 12 Month FTC |

About us:

At Monzo we do things differently: we truly care about providing a phenomenal experience for our customers. We believe there’s a better way to do banking, and we want to be the best possible bank without getting stuck in the old ways of doing things. Our mission is to make money work for everyone - and we’ve only just begun.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and proactive EA to support our VP Operations and VP FinCrime for a period of 12 months. You will be working alongside our existing EA team who have helped to shape and define what great support looks like at Monzo. We know that an excellent EA leads to better outcomes for our customers by enabling the performance of the Executive they support. This is why we are looking for a passionate, ambitious EA who relishes working in a fast paced environment where they have an opportunity to make a real difference.

Building and running Monzo is a unique combination of moving fast (as we’re a tech company) and having structured governance (we’re a highly regulated bank). You’ll help our leaders to optimise the way they use their time and ensure that they’re focussing on the highest impact activities, amplifying the impact they have in leading Monzo to achieve our sky-high ambitions.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing our leaders’ time to ensure their diaries are accurate, free from clashes, prioritised and creating space for them to get work done. Anticipating changes and proactively supporting them to keep their plates spinning.
  • Supporting our leaders with their important weekly meetings whether that is with agenda, deck preparation, taking minutes or following up on actions.
  • Proactively managing their inbox and keeping it clear of clutter and escalating important information to ensure it is addressed in a timely manner.
  • Relationship building across your leaders organisation to keep your finger on the pulse of engagement.
  • Being the first point of contact for people within Monzo who require time with your leaders and helping to accommodate this time.
  • Owning the logistics of your leaders work life and their events. This could look like arranging day to day transport and accommodation, planning and facilitating away days and events for their team or ensuring they have a meeting room for every meeting.
  • Working as part of the Leadership Team, collaborating with the Chief of Staff (Fincrime) and People Partner to deliver for your exec.
  • While your focus will be on the leader that you’re supporting there will also be opportunities to get involved in project work and other initiatives across both the collectives that interest you.
  • You’ll also need to manage your own time to determine how to most effectively support the team, and how to prioritise their different needs.

You should apply if:

  • You have experience working as an EA previously within a fast paced environment. (While not a requirement, previous experience in a start-up or scale up is preferable).
  • You’re resilient and tenacious in your approach to getting things done
  • You’re a quick learner, and ask incisive questions to gather the context you need
  • You are proactive and can work autonomously
  • You’re not phased by change and a fluid environment
  • You are excited by the opportunity to be involved in a broad surface area and able to context switch with ease.
  • You have excellent communication skills with a proven ability to write and adapt style to different audiences.
  • You’re exceptionally attentive to detail and incredibly organised.
  • You enjoy collaborating as a team to get things done.
  • You are hands-on: focussed on execution, removing ambiguity, comfortable making and acting on decisions as well as able to take on information quickly and acting on it
  • You have prior experience using Google suite & Slack or similar tools.
  • You have strong EQ, with fine tuned instincts and problem solving skills.
