About the Space & Community Team:

Sitting in the People Collective, the Space & Community team are at the heart of all things engagement, culture & community at Monzo. A team of 5, each member of the team has an area of focus in helping bring Monzo magic to the forefront of a Monzonauts experience, whether they are based in one of our offices or work permanently from home. No two days are alike as we are responsible not only for running two engaging offices but also new employee onboarding, company events and engagement strategy. We collaborate throughout the business to achieve great things for our Monzonauts that keep them safe and satisfied.  

What you’ll be working on:As the Space & Community Manager for our London Headquarters, this role will have responsibility for the smooth operation of our 85,000 square foot London office as well as having a key focus on the improvement, expansion, engagement and utilisation of the site. 

Your day-to-day:

Being a Space & Community manager at Monzo is an extremely varied role. One moment you might be writing the London office expansion strategy and the next you might be polling the office on their favourite biscuit! Here’s a snippet of some of the things you would expect to work on throughout the week:

  • You’ll work extremely closely with our cleaning, security and building management teams to ensure they’re feeling engaged and working effectively to make the office a great and safe place to be. 
  • You’ll be the communications lead for all things London office. As well as answering any queries which come through, comms you’d post might be linked to planning a building evacuation, launching an office survey, or keeping people updated with office events and works. 
  • Space Management will be your bread and butter. From writing risk assessments, to arranging maintenance and improvements to organising weekly office treats, ensuring the office is an engaging place to be with a high level of safety & polish is an important part of your role.
  • You’ll be the owner of cost tracking for the London office site. This means approving & tracking invoices, making payments and account substantiation as well as working with suppliers to keep costs competitive. 
  • You’ll be a trusted and visible member of the office and will be integral to managing office events, socials and large meetings.

  • You're independent, proactive, comfortable making decisions, and great at communicating these
  • Helping people makes you happy and you have strong collaboration skills
  • You're a resourceful problem solver who is cool in a crisis
