About the Role

The Supervisor reports to the Site Director and leads a team of maintenance technicians.

The Supervisor is responsible for planning, troubleshooting, performing, and overseeing technical tasks related to the installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and overall maintenance of critical production and facilities equipment within the Production Centre. The Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the safety of technicians while performing maintenance tasks and production associates operating the equipment to achieve food safety standards, reliability and uptime targets. What you will be doing:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and corrective actions for all facilities and maintenance topics within the fulfillment center
  • Manage and complete all maintenance tickets and master preventative maintenance schedule to ensure all activities are up to date and are completed on time
  • Manage vendors and lead a team of maintenance technicians to troubleshoot maintenance issues and repair or replace of assets as required
  • Source and manage maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) spare parts, consumables, tools, and other related maintenance equipment needed to ensure assets are in good working order
  • Manage contractors and suppliers; define scope of work, oversee tasks, and ensure completion of deliverables 
  • Manage all facilities and maintenance costs to ensure accurate cost reporting and achieving the maintenance and consumable budget
  • Support equipment and facilities upgrades required to improve safety, quality and productivity
  • Responsible for maintenance metrics, including but not limited to: equipment downtime 
  • Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations. 
  • Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer. 
  • Other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, packaging industry with a proven ability to perform repairs
  • Electrical, mechanical, and maintenance-related certifications
  • Knowledge of trades related to site facilities, repair and overhaul
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance processes, procedures, and systems
  • Knowledge of occupational of OHS and Food Safety and its application in a warehouse and production environment
